We had a great time staying at Tipping T! The site was just as the pictures showed and had plenty of space for our group. The area was well kept and had plenty of picnic tables, seating, and really nice heated bathrooms with showers. There is also a large shared fire pit and grill which was great since we were here on a cold night. We also took advantage of the short trail to Jester King.
This campsite was really beautiful! Being so close to Jester King was a big plus, and the bathroom/showers were another great amenity. The campsite wasn’t super secluded which wasn’t an issue for us but something to keep in mind if you’re looking for something more private. Overall really great experience and we’re excited to come back.
Very comfortable site. A recreation building with lights and restrooms with flushing toilets and hot showers is centrally located with the camp sites spread around the structure. There is a central fire pit for the campsites to share. There was firewood on site but I’d confirm with the owner when planning your trip. As for the campsites themselves, most are partially shaded and pretty flat for setting up a tent or parking a trailer. Some low hanging branches make backing in a vehicle/trailer interesting so walk your route first and use a spotter. Sites 1, 2 & 3 were behind a gate, but I was able to get through with a 3/4 ton truck and 7 foot wide trailer. Sites 4 & 5 would have also worked with a trailer and there was not a gate on that side. Again, check with the owner if you’re concerned about maneuvering a trailer. Some gas stations or other shopping is available a few miles in either direction if you forget something or need ice.
This was a really nice spot for a night of camping. Jester King is a quick walk away. Everything was clean and easy. The only thing I would note is that the camp sites are really close to one another. We were the only group there so it didn't impact us, but if all 4 site were occupied I could see it being a bit of a crowd.
This was a fantastic choice that I found on hip camp. I like it so much I came back for a second tonight. I will definitely be back here in the future. What a wonderful property
What a wonderful, private little campground close to everything. Very happy and will stay there again.
Everything about The Tipping T was so cozy: the layout of the grounds, the bathroom and showers, the fire pit and lighting, and being ensconced by Live Oaks while hanging at our campsite. I really enjoyed staying there and will definitely be doing it again!
Bailey’s camp was just as described and a very convenient short walk to Jester King!
