The property is inhabited by a friendly, gentle herd of cattle, a pen of Dorper sheep, Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs, ducks, geese, peacocks, chickens, guineas, and turkeys. The West Elm inspired guest house is far from roughing it. From top-of-the-line appliances (refrigerator, dishwasher, stove, microwave, washer and dryer) to the Keurig coffee maker with an assortment of Starbucks coffees, everything is brand new, clean, and ready for use. The highlight of the house is the turntable connected to a Bose bluetooth speaker that cranks out an amazing collection of records. If you like classic country, rock, bluegrass, or gospel, you won't be disappointed with the huge assortment of records by Willie Nelson, Merle Haggard, Ray Price, and so many others. The kitchen holds everything needed to cook and dine, and the bathroom includes fluffy cotton towels, luxurious bathrobes, soap, shampoo, and all necessary toiletries. The bedroom has a queen size Tempurpedic bed, complemented with 100% cotton sheets, and plenty of cotton bed coverings. The closet holds yoga essentials including a mat, two blocks, a knee pad and strap, perfect for sunrise yoga on the back porch. The house's decor is curated into a mid-century meets southwestern feel, with loads of Austin-themed art, as well as puzzles, books, dominoes, cards, and magazines. Outside, visitors will find an incredibly comfortable extra large hammock on the back porch with bed pillows in clean cotton cases. This is the place where most people find themselves spending all their time! Steps away, you are invited to play horseshoes, darts, corn hole, or take a spin around the pond in the one person kayak or multi-person fishing boat. Macy and Molly welcome their guests with plenty of lawn chairs and the use of coolers if needed. The fire pit is a modern black iron beauty perfect for roasting marshmallows, singing campfire songs, or simply snuggling under a blanket and listening to the sounds of nature while looking at a sky full of stars. Molly will provide all visitors with a list of the best places for shopping and dining in the nearby town of Rockdale. Last but not least, horseback riding journeys are provided by the Graham's niece Claire, one mile down the road at Lazy J Farms. For $50 per person per hour, Claire will have visitors' horses saddled and ready upon their arrival at her stable (sunset rides are highly recommended!), then spend a few minutes helping riders get acquainted with their new equine friends before heading out on a nice, easy, laid back jaunt. Everyone from first time riders to old cowhands are welcome to join the fun. Just let Macy and Molly know if you're interested in horseback riding when you book your stay. The Graham's have owned the Double M Ranch for over 20 years, and are excited to share it with others who would like a private, peaceful slice of the country for a night or two.
