15 Acres of Heavily Wooded Rolling Land with 3 Acre Pond. Since we face north, the breeze is always headed our direction off the water. There are a few different areas where a tent can be pitched. One area is very secluded but not as close to the amenities. A second area the is semi secluded but still close to everything. The third area is near the water in a nestle of trees. Overall we are somewhat secluded but the nearest town is only about 15-20 minutes away, just in case you forgot or run out of something. We have a pavilion that is equipped with an outdoor propane kitchen. On the pavilion is seating and a charcoal grill table. There is an insulated storage area for coolers. Electricity creates a few more creature comforts with fans and lights. In the middle of a common area is a hundred year old street lamp which can be turned on for a little extra ambiance. There is also an 8' firepit to sit around at night or day. The pond is stocked with large mouth bass, another type of bass, bluegill, sun perch and tilapia. It stays fairly cool to cold and clear all year round. Swimming is definitely an option. Upon request we can anchor a large float in the center of the pond. The center of the pond at its deepest is 15'. In the coves the depth ranges from 2' to 8'. Then there is Lake Livingston about 5 minutes away if you choose to go have fun fishing on the big lake or a boat ride. There's an Island named "Pine Island" were the locals drop anchor to party on the beach for the day. There is a free public boat launch on one end of the bridge and a paid launch on the other end of the bridge. Early check in is available Saturday thru Tuesday. We have one weekend neighbor that shares the pond with us..

A majestic place to camp!
The honey hole is such a beautiful place. You really have to see it in person to get the full effect of how truly wonderful this place is. My wife and I enjoyed two nights camping at the honey hole. We did lots of swimming in the very clear and perfect temperature pond. There is a little hiking trail around the property that was very relaxing and great to hike on. We also went fishing and cruised around the pond in a pedal boat. The pavilion was awesome and had electricity with ceiling fans and everything you would need to cook up your dinner. The hosts Steve and Robin are great people for sure. They were very welcoming and made us feel right at home. We couldn't ask for better hosts. Wonderful people. There are so many great things to say about this place. We can't wait to come back. If you're looking for a romantic getaway with your loved one then this place is perfect. I highly recommend!
The Honey Hole is an outstanding place to stay. Miss Robin and her husband met us when we arrived and showed us around. Great place to rough it if you like, but also has some modern conveniences like the pavillion with a cooking station, spakers for playing music, electrical outlets, lights and fans. Fishing was fun, and the pond was clear and cool. Nice and quiet spot for relaxing. I would definitely stay again and would recommend it to everyone.
THE PLACE WAS GREAT. WE HAD A GREAT TIME IT WAS SECLUDED. THE LAKE WAS FULL OF FISH IF YOU KNOW WHERE TO LOOK. ITS WAS HOT BUT THE CAMP SITE FACES NORTH AND THERE WAS A COOL BREEZE OFF THE LAKE AND DON'T FOR GET TO WALK THE WOODED TRAILS .THE OUT DOOR KITCHEN WAS FULLY STOCKED WITH ANYTHING YOU WOULD NEED. I WOULD DEFINITELY COME BACK STEVE AND ROBIN WERE GREAT HOST.
