Peaceful, quiet, luxurious, historic, wine country experience. Tara Winery offers a unique vineyard and winery resort style experience. Discover Tara and the myths surrounding the secrets of the vines. TARA was named after the sailboat TARA, pierce family started the vineyard in 2006 and opened the winery in 2007. The historic Murchison mansion is an iconic structure in the midst of the vines. Onsite tasting room and restaurant with share plates and full meals. In 2023, we have added a beautiful 50 ft pool with lovely water features, there is an activity fee to use the pool. Please plan to arrive before dark, so you can get settled in the daylight. We do not have 24 hour staff. Learn more about this land: Camping throughout the Tara Vineyard property.  We have primitive sites available in the wooded trail. If you would like a beautiful view of the winery property, ground camping throughout the vineyard is available and most popular ! There is quick access to our winery and food service if you prefer to relax under our covered patio, or pick up a rib eye or filet  from the chef and cook it yourself on your propane grill our our community grill. Enjoy your hand crafted estate wine from TARA winery while camping under the stars. You can be among others or select a remote location. Fires permitted only in designed fire pits. Tara Winery, great food/wine
Wow, this was a great find! The property was extensive with lots of sites to choose from. The kitchen menu was gourmet and expertly prepared and served. The wine was good too. Susan and her staff, Kim and Austin are all friendly and professional. We met many other amazing Hip-campers at our stay! Thank you for everything! (I would also highly recommend buying the pool pass).

Good wine / beautiful views
They were very friendly, had lots of good wines, beautiful views. On a not so positive note the solar shower was cold!

It was a great experience. Went for the solar eclipse. Campsite was awesome. The property is beautiful. The staff was great. The food and wine was wonderful. Would definitely recommend.

Great experience for solar eclipse
Had a great experience tent camping here during the eclipse! Despite being probably one of their highest-demand days for camping, campers were attended to. At night we had a campfire in one of the designated pits by the winery, and met some other campers. We ended up cutting a two-night trip to one night because of impending thunderstorms, but we got to see the totality which was great.

Very nice location
We loved Tara Winery. The Inn and grape vines all around are beautiful although we camped in our small RV on the property for the eclipse so can't vouch for the inside They have a great chef and the food was very good at the restaurant.

Great stay!
Went for the eclipse, had a great time. Beautiful property, tasty wine, good food. There were lots of campsites, some more private than others. They provided an outhouse, but during the day it was possible to use their flush toilet. Would definitely stay again!
