A friend and I stayed here on the off-season during a heat wave, and it was still as pleasant as could be.
Easy to find, hosts are very easy to communicate with, grounds are manicured and soft - with directions laid out to different campsites. Depending on the time of the year, the area will be more or less vibrant, and I imagine it's particularly great in the fall!
I would have no problems recommending this as a stay to anyone. Particularly first time campers.

My friend nerding out on bugs and plants in the yard.Easily traveled/manicured paths throughout.Even in the hot season, flowers bloom!Cool trees near the parking lot, lit by moonlight.

Sweet Valley Farm is a fantastic campsite with the feeling of seclusion and deep nature all while being just a 10 minute drive from Bastrop, TX proper and 45 minutes from the heart of Austin.

Mandi and her husband are great people that truly care about the guest experience. The future plans for as farm stay sound spectacular and I will definitely be back.

Mandi’s Sweet Valley Farm was fantastic! We loved our stay! The site was perfect! Nicely wooded and far enough from the house to give us plenty of privacy. The fire pit was great, tons of fallen, dry wood around to burn and we felt safe. There are trails to walk and a playground. Our 2 and 4 year old didn’t want to leave.

Thank you so much Mandi and we can’t wait to come back!

The camp sight is way in the distance so you can see how much room there is out here. Very spacious and the kids were free to explore. Our fire pit at camp site no. 2 (we brought the grill grate). The site had a nice wooded nook and we saw so many stars at night!

Lovely host and a great refuge in an area tough to find camping (that is not over- priced “glamming”). She is developing her property in very cool ways and just needs to follow through to make this a top notch Hipcamp.
