This place was perfect, lots of room to explore with great views and a large pond only a short hike from camp. We heard pigs and coyotes at night and saw some snakes in the pond so be aware. The Hosts were very friendly and onsite to assist with any needs. This was my first place to camp using the app and I’ll be back for sure!
Exceptional camping experience
The perfect private getaway! The owner is very nice and helpful. She kept in contact with us the whole time and let us camp where ever we wanted. There’s a turkey big Tom and a perfect view of the sunset. Never seen anything like it. They have trails marked around the property which made exploring fun and easy. Plus there is a creek on only a 20 min walk from where we camped. Definitely would recommend and we will be back!
Great location for camping!
This was a perfect place to camp. Felt secure enough to leave camp and do some local site seeing. Beautiful overlook. Plenty of tree cover or open field options for your tents. Hosts were fantastic. Close enough if we needed anything but yet we had privacy. Fantastic fire pit. As a single mom with teens, I highly recommend.
Close to home nature retreat.
This place is a hidden treasure. All you can ask for a weekend retreat from the city. We love the camping site, the amount of birds and the outstanding view to the valley. Is pretty well located for Glen Rose and Cleburne State Parks. Melinda was a great host for the time we where there. She gave us a small tour provided us with the history of the place and even help us out during our state with some items we forgot to bring.
Not my last private camping trip!
Staying here was everything I hoped for and more! Mindy and Tim were great hosts and have a wonderful property. I didn't expect to get a view in the area, but the overlook spot was quite a sight. There is tons of private space to make the campsite yours, too. We opted for the flat open area mostly, but there's a forested area as well. There is a private campfire, firewood, outhouse, and four seat table provided. Thank y'all for letting us come enjoy your land!
Stop looking and book!
As first time family campers (4 kids), we weren't sure this would work out well - but our time at Coyote Ridge was fantastic.
The campsite was about 100 yards down from Melinda's house, but was perfectly private. We had access to a table, fire pit, private primitive toilet, and multiple spots to pitch our tent. The camping area was spacious and comfortable. Melinda had obviously cleaned the site for us, and provided more supplies than we expected. For our stay, it was also the only campsite on the property. Perfect for a COVID-19 break.
The property was large enough for us to spend two days exploring with plenty more to see. There were marked trails and a view I thought only existed in the TX hill country.
Melinda was also a fantastic host. She and her husband checked in on us when we arrived, and we got to spend a little time talking and meeting their horses (and dog!). They were close enough if we needed help, but also gave us privacy.
