The site is an old south Texas farmstead that has had two previous homes here and for white settlers dates back to the early 1800’s. The creek that runs behind the property was a trail used by Indians and the Spanish to travel from Laredo to San Antonio. An old Currier/ Blacksmith shop once sat near the home site to the Southwest and serviced those travelers and cowboys. We've got some ghost stories!
This site has a constant breeze from the southeast and raptor birds sometimes use the thermal updrafts to gain altitude. The secluded RV spot is next to barn at the back of the property and faces the hay fields, there is a walking path around the 23 acres, cattle come and go, a goat lives nearby and wild life is a regular occurrence in the hay fields. Wildlife area adjacent, there has been a Mountain Lion spotted there, along with turkey, armadillo, fox, coyote and more. Many raptor birds.
The ranch is sustainable with photovoltaics, (solar panels), water harvesting and compost toilet. The Sustainable Farmhouse is a Gold LEED certified.
The rural area is known for the scenic bicycle rides or motorcycle rides. We hold weddings at the main ranch house.

I can’t express how great my stay was. The hostess Annastacia was amazing and went above and beyond the duties of hostess. I know consider her a close lifelong friend. The ranch is beautiful and was very quiet and peaceful. I prefer to camp in nature rather than in a campground and this place was perfect in every way. I loved waking up to the cows mooing! There are walking paths throughout the ranch, so you can walk right past them. I highly recommend staying here!
