Saoirse Learning Center is designed to demonstrate low cost sustainable housing and Permaculture.  We run workshops to teach these methods and open the property to those who would like to experience it's fruit!   Saoirse means "freedom" in Irish and we strive to teach and show others how to enjoy more freedom in their lives in every way possible!

    Pecan Grove Camping Retreat
    Great meadow to camp in. Wagon sure helped. Solitude except for another camper. Hot night and morning hot shower probably not the combo most desire as the cold mixed in too sparingly. Talked to the horse, cat was sweet, dogs perhaps sweet but over excited I think upon our approach. We felt safe even when the unexpected fellow camper trudged into the meadow at midnight and then went thru the fence and back. The town, Blanco, is well known to us, my brother built a house here , it's grown alot but still quaint despite the commercial strip along 281. We could here the trucks . But that broke the pall of humidity that hung over us. No fault of the host mind you. East to reserve and check out.

    These Guys rescued us! Thank you! Due to issues with a different campsite, we were stranded 4 hours away from home with no place to stay on Memorial day weekend when all hotels are full! I have texted these guys and took us in at 9 pm in the evening! I cannot say how grateful we are that they were able to respond on such short notice! Thank you!
