Great boondock with cursory hookups
Quiet, peaceful farmland not far from the main highway. Beautiful farm views (and signature Texas sunsets) with water and 15 (or maybe 20) amp service. Water connection didn't freeze and it was 20F overnight.
Savannah and Blaze were great. Very non-obtrusive while super friendly and helpful. What more could you want?
A few notes: We towed a 37' 5th wheel out there with our 4x4 dually with no real issues, although the rutted road could be a challenge for newer RV drivers if you're towing a bigger rig like we are. Lot is also pretty muddy, so if you have dogs, be prepared to clean their feet a few times (hooray water hookups!).
Savannah went above and beyond.
It is in the middle of open fields. Very nice setting. Has electric hook ups. Savanah is awesome. I couldn’t get my electric hook-up to work so she drove out in 9 degree weather in snow and ice and fixed it. I was embarrassed but this is my first experience in an rv. She is very attentive to any needs. Great place to spend the night. I Woolf come again definitely.
The host gave excellent directions and kept in touch to make sure that we found the location. We only stayed one night as we passed through Amarillo. The site was conveniently off the main roads but not too far out of the way. It was fun to see the prairie dog holes at our tent site! I would recommend this site.
We spent the night here on a road trip from Massachusetts to New Mexico, and this was our favorite camping spot of the trip. Loved listening to the birds as we watched the storms roll by on the horizon. We were the only ones camping out on the field, and loved the privacy provided by the open space. Would recommend and camp there again in an instant!
Nice secluded area to camp
Very secluded and safe area. I love hearing the cows nearby when I woke up in the morning. Savannah was very helpful and even recommended a few spots in the area for the morning. Highly recommended.
