The “Retreat Eco-Cabins” were all designed by the well-known architect, Marley Porter, who created One World Theater & many other earth-friendly designs. The “The Blue Loft” (sleeps 1-4) is our funkiest space on the property; there is nothing like it! This cabin is perfect for adventure seekers, couples, nature-lovers, and small families. The vibe at Funky Blue Loft Eco-Cabin
If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
My boyfriend and I spent a quiet evening away from the city at the Blue Loft Cabin and it was just as lovely and calming as I imagined it would be. Before arriving at the property, we stopped at Stone House Vineyard (right down the street) to do a wine tasting and grab a bottle of wine for the evening. Unfortunately, when we arrived at the cabin it started pouring so we didn't get a chance to use the fire pit or explore as much as I hoped. When the rain calmed down a little we enjoyed some wine on the wine deck and watched a bunch of deer roam around across the street. We decided to keep it simple and have a charcuterie board of snacks for dinner instead of cooking, but the cabin has a hot plate and dishes to use for cooking.
The rain actually cooled the cabin down enough to turn on the little "fireplace" which made it feel extra cozy while we watched a movie and listened to the rain (they have a decent collection of dvd's in the cabin). In the morning we enjoyed our coffee outside on the porch and explored the property before leaving. The floating cabin looked like it would be perfect for a warm Texas day! It had some floats for relaxing on the lake and kayaks were on the property as well.
Todd, the property manager was great and communicated everything clearly to us. The cabin was easy to find and the entire property is magical! Overall we had a wonderful experience at the Blue Loft Cabin and I would highly recommend it to anyone who loves nature.
