The vibe at Cabin 15 minutes from Silos&Baylor
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in the cabin at Post Oak RV. The park is located about 15 minutes from Waco, so we went antique shopping and visited Magnolia Market, which is a MUST do if you are in Waco. After an incredible latte from a coffee shop called Pinewood, we headed to our cabin. There were few guests staying in cabins and RVs that we enjoyed visiting with, but we had plenty of privacy when we wanted it! The cabins are super clean and cozy, stocked with everything we needed, but most importantly air conditioning. Camping in Texas is no joke. We enjoyed the hiking trails that James set up, and we found a great spot next to our cabin to set up our hammocks. James' wife has taken time to plant some beautiful flowers and a garden next to the cabin, and we enjoyed looking at everything she had growing. The owners were incredibly kind and are a part of a homesteading community right down the road. At their recommendation, we checked out Homestead Heritage and were so glad that we did. We got to see blacksmiths working in their shop, woodworkers, basket weavers, and so many more people that were skilled in trades that you rarely get to see up close. We had some of the BEST homemade ice cream and walked the trails on the homestead. If you are looking to connect with nature and sleep in a cozy, cool cabin; then Post Oak is for you!
