Davina was very responsive and great at working with me and holding my site when we had some glitches booking on the app. The campsite was more private than expected as I was told the next campers were 1/4 mile upstream. We never heard anyone else the whole weekend. There were 8 of us and we all fit with plenty of room to spare. The water was a mildly steep walk down hill with a large rocky beach area. Since the rain was recently heavy the water was flowing pretty well and browner than usual. We still spent the whole day hanging out in the water as it was shallow enough to hangout closer to shore. It was cool and very refreshing on a hot day. I don’t think we could have gotten kayaks back up stream had we brought them. This site itself was great; very shady at camp with a picnic table, large fire pit, large trash can, an extra table, and lots of trees for hammocks. I suggest bringing boots or closed toed shoes since can be very sandy and dusty. We saw one snake for a short time but were otherwise unbothered by any other animals or critters.

What a beautiful setting! If you enjoy primitive camping with privacy and solitude this is the place. The site was nestled in the trees overlooking the river with easy access to a rock and sand beach for fishing and a refreshing dip. Plenty of wildlife and tree cover. We didn't see any of the other guests all weekend but did catch sight of hawks, deer, cows and a few fish. The hosts were great and very responsive. This is a five star tent camping experience.

Listen to wildlife and relax Good night Fire pit, table and trash bin available Lots of room and privacy

Beautiful property right on the Guadalupe River. You can camp in the oaks above the river, overlook the river or camp right on the water. There is plenty of wildlife to view and photograph. We saw hawks, owls, deer and cattle. The owners are good, friendly people and you have plenty of privacy and firewood. It is also a great place to canoe or kayak, with a designated paddle trail nearby. We will return!

Oxbow paradise is just that-a beautiful paradise! The campsite is truly a slice of secluded beautiful heaven and we had such a relaxing time there. Our four legged baby who loves water more than anything spent about 90 percent of her time happily swimming in the beautiful Guadalupe river. We chose to set up camp right on the riverbank, although a perfectly maintained campsite was up in the trees a bit further away. It was truly a memorable trip to this riverbed.

The camping area up a bit above the riverbed has everything you could need- firewood, a fire pit, and a picnic tableOxbow ParadiseOxbow ParadiseHappiest (and soggiest) dog in the world

The camp.site was perfect. Secluded, rustic, true camping site. No water, no electricity, great. I towed a 26 foot travel trailer off road back to the site. Only fot stuck.once, a quick shift to 4x4 lo and i was out.
I couldnt recommend this siyw enough to serious campwrs who are looking to get off the grid. It was great.

This place is amazing, it exceeded all my expectations. It's remote, beautiful, cozy, and has lots of trails to hike through. However, the river was the best part. You're own private stretch of the Guadalupe river. The camp site is well maintained, has a place to BBQ and more than enough room for multiple tents. I would highly recommend this to any who loves camping with the basics (tents) or that has campers or RVs. Davinia and her husband are great hosts and made it easy. I'll definitely be coming back!
