New Hope Farm is nestled in the hill country and located right off of the famous FM 4. Established in the late 1800’s this peaceful farm has had many different names and has been home to several different families. One of its owners in the 1980’s, was referred to as the “Alligator Lady.” She raised several alligators here for many years until a flood enabled them all to escape to nearby creeks and rivers. Needless to say, she was banned from continuing her alligator raising hobby. The structure she used to breed and raise her gators still stands, and is available for your viewing pleasure. Another family in the 1970’s adapted the hydroponic system. Utilizing this system successfully in the 70’s is quite impressive, for it was a rare and unknown horticulture of that time. Their commitment to hydroponics was fascinating. They built an entire enclosed structure with electricity. The walls were built from the soil and clay on the property. The remains of this structure still stands and is used as our garden today. Other families have planted fruit trees, housed quail, buffalo and horses, to mention a few. My husband and myself respect the history of this amazing property. From the moment we set foot on this farm we could feel it’s longing to be restored and become the thriving, giving farm it once was. Since our move here in 2018 we have began to restore the original farmhouse and the guest suite. We have revamped one of the old barns that is now available for weddings and events. We have completely committed ourselves to the revival and restoration of New Hope Farm. What a fun...yet sometimes stressful, honorable journey it has been for my husband and I. We welcome you to New Hope Farm and want to share with you the beauty, peace and new life our farm has to offer. ❤️ Emily

Peaceful and Perfect
New Hope Farm was the perfect weekend getaway. We got to wake up walk out the front door and feed the cows. Which was amazing! They are so friendly and lovable. The cabin was adorable! There is no internet (which I loved) but Emily offers a wide selection of dvds to pick from. The sitting area is the perfect place to take in the serenity of the farm. Emily offers such a safe and inviting environment. 10/10 will definitely be visiting again.

Guest Suite on Scenic Farm
Emily's farm is such a pleasant experience! Our stay in the guest suite was just right. The bed very comfortable and the suite roomy with large refrigerator, microwave and coffee. Also, a nice couch and tv with lots of DVDs. We didn't use the TV. Way too beautiful outside, walking around the property, feeding snacks to the sweet cows, and relaxing by the fire pit. Great stay, great value👍👍

Guest Suite on Scenic Farm
We had such a great time relaxing and disconnecting from the city. The pictures for the guest house does not do it justice, it’s even cuter on the inside. They have a large refrigerator for your food, a microwave with complimentary popcorn, large flat top to cook on, and washer and dryer. We brought a single burner to be able to cook with. Their restroom is fully stocked with towels, wash clothes, and toilet paper. Shower is recently remodeled and works great. There’s paper and plasticware in the kitchen and if you need anything, just ask Emily! She was great and supplied us with a can opener when needed and even brought us a fresh bowl of cut fruit to enjoy. Lots of pillows and blankets to help you relax and enjoy their tv and large selection of dvd’s. Absolutely no complaints when it comes to the guest house. Outside, there’s friendly cows you can feed treats to and walk a nice trail on their property. We brought our two dogs and they had a great time running free on the property. All in all, we will definitely be back. Emily and Ryan were great hosts!!

Guest house getaway
We had such a great time relaxing at Emily and Ryan’s guest house. The pictures posted do not do this place justice how cute it is. They have a large refrigerator you can store all of your food, a large flat top outside to cook on, and a washer and dryer if you need to wash any clothes that you brought. Inside, there was plenty of extra blankets and pillows if you wanted to lounge on the couch and watch TV from their large selection of DVD movies. They don’t have Internet, but we didn’t mind that at all. They even have complementary popcorn to help you enjoy. On the property you can feed their cows treats and take a nice hike throughout. We really enjoyed our long walks each day. We brought our dogs and were able to have them off leash without a problem. They do have dogs in their backyard, that is close to the guest house, but there was no issue with them. The hosts are very nice and accommodating with any needs you may have. We needed a cab opener which they quickly provided and even gave us a bowl of fresh cut fruit one night. Oh, and there’s a cute little general store just down the street that has a great breakfast! Definitely will stay here again.

Best birthday ever!
This was the perfect little getaway for a birthday trip with friends! The hosts were so welcoming, kind, and inviting! The site was so cute with string lights, tables, chairs, trash cans, and a nice bathroom! We loved feeding the cows and star gazing at night. I would definitely come back and stay here!
