Cozy Cabin with Expansive Views
We loved having such a large amount of land all to ourselves. The dogs enjoyed it too. Loved watching the deer in the morning. Will be back.

Cozy Cabin with Expansive Views
Peace, Quiet, and Expansive Views
Such an adorable little cabin with an amazing 360 view. We saw an incredible sunset and full view of the stars and full moon while we were there. I loved the large windows inside and modern interior, it was the perfect mix of country life with all the modern elements we love. I would definitely be back to enjoy the peace, quiet and privacy :)

Real Texas primitive camping!
I had an awesome time camping 2 nights solo at the Colonel Burns Ranch. At over 1,100 acres there is so much area to explore and you have so many options of where to to set up camp. Oaks galore! I set up my hammock out in a nice area full of oak trees off of one of the paths. So much wildlife around. I could hear the coyotes and hogs all around me at night. Saw quite a few deer in the area running around. This ranch was exactly what I was looking for in a campsite. Extremely primitive and remote and felt like to was completely isolated from everything. If you're looking for a place to rough it without amenities, no shower, electric, toilet or running water, then this is the place for you! This is true Texas primitive camping ! This is not a state park, so if you're afraid of a little adventure then I suggest you stick with glamping at state parks if you're scared of going off grid and having a real Texas camping experience. The hosts were wonderful and made me feel so welcomed and at home. I got to tour a lot of the area and I honestly cannot wait to come back again and enjoy another adventure out here! I highly recommend this place to anyone that is looking for an awesome camping trip without all the noise and people.

Awesome cabin! Careful warning..
The cabin stay was amazing! The cabin has everything you need - really. There’s silverware, pots/pans, foil, oil, seasonings, paper plates, plastic dinnerware, towels, a washer/dryer, cleaning supplies, air conditioning, heater, etc. Did I mention the shades on the windows are remote operated?!? The porch is very private, and was a quiet space the entire time we were there. There is a lock on the front door, which made me feel safe. The host gave us our privacy, which we enjoyed. We purchased the activities of yoga and a couples massage. The activities themselves were wonderful!! Service right to your door and you do the activities out front of the cabin. The weather was very nice but a tad chilly, so the therapist even brought heated blankets for the massage. Be careful about purchasing yoga/massage through Hipcamp. (Not sure how other activities are paid for/done) The therapist that does both services is an independent contractor and you will be charged after the experience separately by her - and getting your deserved refund from the host can be a pain...

Cozy Cabin with Expansive Views
Our stay at the cabin was nothing short of amazing. The cabin itself was beautifully set up with a lovely porch. We loved sitting in the hammock and watching the stars at night. The area was so quiet and private with a nice little path up to the top of a hill where we would watch the sunset. Albert and Marietta were the best hosts. They met us when we arrived and made us feel right at home. Be sure to sign up for some of the add on activities! We did clay shooting with Albert and he was not only great company but a good coach. Overall we could not have asked for a better weekend. 10/10 would recommend!
