Earlene's place was just as described, in a peaceful, serene environment and in close proximity to state parks and attractions. This was a last-minute find for my friends and me and it turned out perfectly fine. Earlene was very precise with her location details and very easy to communicate with. I highly recommend this place if you're looking for an outdoor experience.
Great spot but not for my family
Great site but not really what we were expecting. The host was great and greeted us as we pulled in. She offered us a pull cart to get your things up the steep rocky walkway. She also gave us a trash bag and a roll of toilet paper. We were given access to an onsite RV with running water, a shower, and a flushing toilet. There is a shared fire pit up on the hill and plenty of wood laying around to build a small fire. There is also a compostable toilet if you choose to use it up on the hill. We are a family of four and used a large 8 person tent. I would not recommend camping on the main ledge with such a large tent. The spot we setup in is perfect for a 4 person tent or a narrow 6 person tent. There is a larger area down by the main house. that would work for a larger tent but that spot was already claimed. Be sure to bring a mattress or a thick sleeping pad as the ground up there is mainly rock. Also bring appropriate anchors for hard substrate. We didn't have a bad experience and had no problems. It was just a little worrisome with two young kids going up and down the steep walkway and being so close to the ledge.
Camping at a private spot
The host was very helpful and accomadating. The camp area was clean and peaceful. There were no lurking hungry animals, as i experienced at other camp sites, like wolves and deer.
Delightful accommodating wonderful
Terri was a fantastic host!!! She was kind and welcoming! She was also accommodating. I arrived late and she was very understanding and quick to greet me! The place is easy to find just follow her directions. The farm is lovely. There are lots of stars to see at night and the site is wonderful!!! I highly recommend MagPie Falls and Terri as a host!
