This spot is worth it. Big camp spot with privacy. Host was great and she took time to welcome us. We wished we could have had more time to explore the property; but had to head to the state park for our next night. We will be back.
Our 2nd time staying at Low Gear & it won't be our last :)
Low Gear Farmstead is a very peaceful spot. Logan provided excellent hospitality while also maintaining a suitable, safe distance to experience the natural surroundings and the beautiful dark skies at the spot. This site has no shade so be prepared to either rise early or sleep out of doors in order to be comfortable in warmer temperatures. I spent most of my time outside of the tent thanks to the wonderful Orionid meteor shower. Dark skies abundant.

Had a wonderful two nights watching the stars and meteors. I'll definitely be back. Hosts where outstanding.

Amazing clear dark sky for to see the stars!
We had an amazing time at Low Gear Farmstead. Can’t wait to go back. Our site was wonderful. Very peaceful and private. We had the absolute best spot for stargazing. Short walk to the river which was very relaxing.
Great scenery! Open field though, so no trees, which ending up meaning large wind gusts. Very accommodating hosts.

A very quiet, out-of-the-way farm which, if the rain clouds had stayed away, would have been an amazing stargazing spot. Friendly host provides enough basic amenities to be comfortable for experienced campers. Generous-sized firewood bundles ($) added much needed warmth on chilly evenings.

Great place to stay! Very relaxing, quiet, and peaceful.
