All three areas are right by the lakeshore, though one obviously has the best lake views and the most sites by the water —we’ll let you figure that one out (hint: it’s Lakeview). All sites fit eight people and have water and access to bathrooms, and you can pay extra for a site with electricity. If camping isn’t your style (or, more likely, your mother-in-law’s style), you can rent a lakefront cabin with A/C and heat, a grill, a microwave, and a refrigerator (no kitchen or bathroom, though).

We stayed here for the night on our way from Big Bend to Fort Worth. It's pretty expensive... I think it came to about $25/night with the day use fee added on top of the camping rate. The facilities are in desperate need of an update. There were showers, but the water in the bathroom was brown and the showers were gross enough I didn't want to use them. The campsites by the lake are nice, but the tables and shelters are also old and dirty.
