Learn more about this land: Kamp Peace is a camp ground and venue in the woods where the ponds attract life, the breeze whistles in the trees, ponds and creeks carve the earth, and love whispers down the wooded trails. Star gaze in the open field to catch meteors and shooting stars nightly. **Book a fire-side Therapeutic Massage session or private concert for your special night out!** We have a few campsites with different features, all of which are big enough for multiple tents. When booking, check them out for best match. If you are new to camping, have an RV, or camper, van, etc the STAR VIEW Site has what you need. It's a big open flat space with a huge fire pit and the best shooting star view on the grounds. This site has Power and lights from the main Stage and is closest to the water spigot. PECAN GROVE is a huge campsite in the shade of the pecan trees, beside the pond. There is a 10x10 deck and table to use. There is also a native sweat lodge built that only requires blankets to cover it. This site is closest to the outhouse. If you like to be further away from the hustle and bustle and appreciate more primitive camping, try the CEDAR CREEK Site at the back of the property. This site is near the (seasonal) bubbling creek, under the shade of the Juniper trees. There is a 10x 6ft shade tent with table and optional extension cord for use. (Request power upon booking)   If you like a little more action in your campouts we do occasional music events on site. Ask about those dates when booking. We have a water hose for potable water on property and an open air private outhouse in the trees. We have a strict trash Pack in/pack out all trash and pet waste policy. Leave sites better then you found them and don't cut down anything that is growing. No burn bans if you use the rocked pits and put the fire out before you leave/sleep. Leave your mark by adding something useful or decorative to your campsite. Whatever your camping desires, we can accommodate! **Booking these appts at site booking give us ample time to schedule **The Meadow is a wooded wonderland where the ponds attract life, creeks carve the earth, peace blows thru the trees and birds sing your way through the trails. Star gaze in the stage meadow to catch meteors and shooting stars regularly. You can maximize your experience by booking a tree-shaded or campfire Massage appointment. Special occasion? Schedule a private, fireside concert with our favorite local musician!          If you like a little more action in your life we host open mic nights on Mondays from 6-9pm and concerts or festival nights on some weekends. We're definitely pet friendly as long as you control your pets. We have a water hose for potable water and an open air private outhouse. We have a strict trash Pack in and pack it out trash and pet waste policy. Leave sites better then you found them and don't cut down anything that is growing. Dead wood is ok to burn IN campfire rings. We are less then 4 miles from Stillhouse Lake and hiking trails at Dana Peak Park. Harker Heights has a variety of restaurants, night life, and shopping. We're less then 15 minutes from FT Hood in Killeen and only 20 minutes from Scott and White Hospital in Temple. It's about an hour from Austin's night life. A neighborhood Walmart is less then 5 miles from the property as well, for your shopping needs.

It was delightful. A super peaceful locale. Great for a fire and hanging out. It's near some great trails (a short drive) for hiking. Very welcoming place.

Camp, Heal, & Jam in the woods
Wonderful site but plan accordingly
7/10! This is such a great place to camp! Let's start with the fun stuff - the good! Starting with the grounds, this is such a festive place. There are lots of trees so you can always find shade and it has a hippie vibe for sure. The other people that we encountered sitting around the huge heart-shaped fire pit fit right in there. There's lots of cool art just laying around and the dogs had so much fun getting to explored the land a little! Of course, the best part is the amazing hostess, Jeannie. She is just a genuinely nice person. Now for the three minuses: We have a pop-up and there are no water hookups. There is a water hose by the entrance, though, but it would be nice to be able to use the sink. Similarly, there are no electric hookups with the exception of the stage. We have a long extension cord so we had flexibility but this would be an issue for someone that didn't plan ahead (so plan ahead). And the biggest downside - this is a functional venue so it looks like it could get a little lively on nights that they have events. If you are looking for a quiet time, you just need to make sure that you are not staying there when an event is going on. Notice that all three of those things are really minor and you can easily work around those things if you simply plan ahead. Bottom line - this is a wonderful site, especially for the price! I would imagine that we will be returning to this site again in the future.

Camp, Heal, & Jam in the woods
Camping here was a great time. The host, Jeannie, is very friendly and accommodating and the location was conveniently close to Rogers Park where we spent our days. The campsite we were at was pretty close to the road and the road noise was very noticeable but usually died down to only a few cars an hour later into the night. There are other people and dogs around this site so if that is a problem for you, maybe consider elsewhere; otherwise, it is a great atmosphere and a fun place to stay. All in all a great camping experience. I would stay here again.
