If you stayed here and have some insider info for us, let us know!
This was our second time using hip camp and the first experience was mediocre so my expectations were set. We normally camp at State Parks but we have been isolated because we have a new born in the middle of a pandemic. We wanted to get the other kids out of the house so we thought we would try something that we felt was isolated and interesting. This place Checked those boxes, so we booked it.
My first impression of the property was that it appeared well maintained. After settling in and doing a little exploring I got to see how beautiful the property really was. The soft hills and large pine trees are wonderful. The staff and owner are as equally pleasant. They are extremely helpful, understanding and kind.
And then there’s the animals! So cool!! I was taking the kids on a little safari an hour from home.
Bring your fishing pole!
Seriously, thank you Frank! We needed that.
Stunning animal ranch!
Amazing! This property was pretty cool. We originally reserved an RV slot but didn’t realize there were cabins on the property so we ended up renting one of them. They did a really nice job in renovating the cabins. Hosts took us on their ATV and toured the ranch where we saw wildebeest, antelopes and llamas. Beautiful creatures. We met the brewmaster of a Mead and Cider winery on the site as well. He was funny and very kind. We even go to taste some cider. It was AMAZING! Overs a really fantastic day.
Hope to visit again
Jim and the crew made us feel very welcome. We saw tons of animals and their routines. The land is beautiful and perfect for stargazing. Only bummer was no camp fire but not the fault of Valkyrie as there is a current burn ban.
