All camp sites offer dedicated parking next to site, picnic table, fire ring and lots of shade. Accommodate up to 2 tents & all amenities are within a short walk. Owned by Sam & Dee Williams, Inez Spring Riverfront Park was originally envisioned and created as a family retreat. As the park began to take shape, the Williams' realized what a hidden gem it really is. The natural spring that feeds Joshua's pond was named after Sam's mother, Inez. The area around Eastland is rich with local history, including Captain Eastland and the black bean, Old Rip the horned toad, The Santa Clause bank robbery, Ringling Brothers' Circus, Bonnie & Clyde, etc. In addition the area is known to have had a significant prehistoric Native American population. In fact, Sam and Dee are curators of an impressive collection of artifacts found throughout the area. The park boasts 25 camp sites and a large number of picnic spots along the riverfront and near Joshua's Pond, for day use. The Williams Family carved out a trail system that takes hikers along the rim of rock outcrops, between the gaps of huge rock slabs, along the banks of the Leon River and through a heavy shaded canopy of red oak, pecan and cedar elm. There's even a small cave for the adventurous spelunker. Kayaking is popular on the river and kayaks can be rented on the property. Only five dollars per person, provides a full day of fishing, hiking, swimming, boating, picnicking, bicycling, etc. An additional fifteen dollars gets you an overnight campsite. Take a refreshing swim off the concrete dock in Joshua's Pond, hike the nature trails, go fishing and boating in the Leon River. Currently open to campers on Friday and Saturday only.

A true hidden gem
Everything exceeded my expectations! The owners were VERY hospitable! That alone is a good enough reason to go back. Anyways, as someone else stated, the site is next to the highway but that’s not a good enough reason to NOT recommend this gem. There’s a hiking trail, swimming hole, a little cave, a place for fishing and more! There’s even designated areas where they keep wood so all you have to do is haul it back to your camp site. There is a Walmart nearby so if you forget anything or run out of supplies, you’re just about a 3-5 minute drive. I seriously cannot describe how much fun my wife and I had this past weekend. We’re already planning our next trip! Go ahead and book already!
No privacy no sense of nature
Definitely not for me personally, Sam is very nice and understanding but the site is next to a highway bridge and there's absolutely no privacy, we left immediately because our tent would've been right next to someone else so close there's no reason to make your own camp fire.
Good sites to relax at and nice sta
Nice site, well maintained, interesting spring fed artificial swimming hole. Be mindful that you will hear the engine noise from the interstate. They rent open top kayaks to take out on the river and . I will probably return once my daughter is older than 2.5 to really enjoy the place.
It was beautiful. Perfect for entertaining kids and families. Not having trash receptacles was definitely not ideal with having a car full of kids and camping equipment(we had to hold our trash bags out of the window and drive with our arms out holding full trash bags all the way into town) and the interstate was pretty loud but I'd gladly give it a 9.5 out of ten. The attention to detail (other than trash) was wonderful. We will definitely be back.
This was my first booking with Hipcamp and it did not disappoint!!! I cannot say enough about this place we will definitely be back to enjoy some kayaking and fishing , hiking was amazing, swimming hole was amazing and the property was so beautiful. The host really made you feel like extended family I have already shared this link with multiple friends to book as well!!
You will love it here!
This property was amazing and exactly as described! Sam and his family were amazing hosts and made sure we had everything we needed to make our stay wonderful. All of the campsites were wonderful and secluded in their own way. The pond to swim in was bright blue and deep enough to get a good workout in! He even had pre-cut firewood in a couple different stations across the sites so we didn't even have to scavenge aside from twigs here and there. Our dogs loved swimming in the water and being outdoors. Since this was our first time camping, we didn't know what to expect but it was absolutely beautiful and we will definitely be back very soon! Thanks so much Sam for your hospitality and for sharing your land with us!
