Happy Horse Bungalow
Hollis and Beaux were awesome hosts. Hollis showed us around the camp and both of them ensured we had everything we needed to ensure our trip was enjoyable. The kids loved the scavenger hunt, which kept them busy across multiple days.

Site 10 - Happy Horse Camping, Cabin, and RV
Just….Perfect
I almost do not not want to write this review to keep this place my little secret….there really is no other way to describe this experience other than…it greatly exceeded our expectations.
First, the hospitality provided by Hollis and Beaux is second to none. Beaux was attentive to all the site needs. The grounds were green, beautiful and very well kept.
Tucked away in the hills of East Texas, this location had a ranch feel that just melted the stress away as soon as you got there.
It was also, the perfect distance from the city of Austin and other small towns. If you forgot something or needed groceries, amenities were within 15 minutes drive but far enough to retain the charm of the outdoor/camping experience.
I could go on and on…..bottom line. If you are visiting the area or just looking for an amazing experience….this is it!!!
Finally, cap off your experience with a campfire ukulele session with Hollis and live through the years of experience she had over the years through the heartfelt songs she wrote.
I can’t say enough and the pictures don’t do it justice. Go there and I promise you will find yourself trying to figure out how you can stay longer!

Camping for the eclips
Hollis and Bo are amazing hosts !! I highly recommend a pivate concert with Hollis! Nice round pen for you to work your horses in and lots of trails to ride. We plan on staying again!

What A Dream!
Great time! Hollis and her partner were so welcoming. The land was absolutely stunning and green. The trails were our favorite part, they gave us a scavenger hunt list and that kept us busy all afternoon. The only con was that… I DIDNT STAY LONGER! One night will not do this place justice. I will def recommend and try to come back when I can!

The Camping Palace (sleeps 1-2)
We had a wonderful stay at Happy Horse Camp. There are so many birds around in the morning, and some cute winding paths through the woods for walks. Hollis and Beaux were very welcoming hosts and made us feel right at home. A great way to find a country feel just outside of Austin!

Nice spot close to the city
Hollis and Beaux were great, so nice and hospitable! I liked them a lot. Their property is really beautiful, too. The downside is that unless you choose one of the sites where you hike your stuff in, you will be right next to other people like how an RV park is. This morning, a few guys arrived to stay at the cabin right next to me and started blaring music. It would be nice if there was a no music rule; when you go camping the goal is to avoid stuff like that, so it was very annoying. Luckily, it was my checkout day anyway so I just packed up and left a few hours earlier than planned. But overall, it’s a great place if you are passing through or need to stay close to the city.
