What a great getaway! I never considered camping on private land until Texas State Parks closed for camping and I found Gypsy Moon Hideaway. The site was easy to find, and the hosts were super nice and friendly. The campsites were a little closer to each other than I was expecting at first, and we had to improvise with only a few hammock-friendly trees. But there was still plenty of shade and after getting settled I didn't feel like the neighboring campers were all that close. It was easy to walk my kayak down to the river and take it for a spin and overall I was very happy with my experience.
One thing to add is the "toilet" was a port-a-john that unfortunately was way too full. After the first night they offered to have us use the toilet & shower in the Dollhouse which was nice. Overall, I would stay here again.
Beautiful setting! Hosts were excellent! Facility were great. Sites were close to houses and each other, so not much privacy. But otherwise it was a wonderful spot and we had a great visit!

We had a wonderful relaxing stay out at Gypsy Moon Hideaway. The Brazos river is stunning and it was such a treat to get to camp right on it's banks. The towering pecan trees provide a fantastic amount of shade and the river was perfect to plunge into during the heat of the day. The grounds were impeccably well kept, and the communal fire ring was perfect for a sunset bonfire and marshmallow roasting. There are hiking paths that are well maintained and shaded and we loved exploring those. We can't recommend this location enough for a peaceful getaway just a bit outside of Fort Worth!

Gypsy Moon Hideaway is a great place place to camp. Easy access to the river. Wonderfully shaded to get out of sun when needed. We will definitely be back. Thank you Amy and David.
Very nice, family friendly spot. Mix of tent camping and RVs. Quiet, just what we needed for our first trip out in our RV with our daughter.
Any was great and we had a great time in the river on the property. Would definitely go again!
We enjoyed our stay at Gypsy Moon. We loved our tree shaded spot. Watching the deer was an exciting experience! Floating the river was so relaxing! The host was super friendly and made sure we didn’t need anything. We felt relaxed and recharged after a weekend of getting close to nature.
