My son and I visited in my VW van and stayed a couple nights. It is always nice getting out of town and out into nature with the kiddo.
This land is about 7 acres and in an actual community called Alamo Springs. There are a couple neighbors, but there are plenty of spots to settle down on the land where you can’t see them.
The camp is brand new and the hosts are in the process of making some improvements this coming January, and from what it sounds like those improvements will make for a great experience for those in the future. As of this moment, though, you’ll have to really search and prep to make a spot smooth enough for a tent, but it was excellent for the van. We tucked away into the trees and were set.
You can see the sunrise and sunset, and both were just absolutely gorgeous. Also, it’s a great spot to camp if you are interested in checking out some of the local hill-country stops, like Old Tunnel park to see the bats, visit Black Pig or Alamo Springs Cafe (2 excellent food spots out in the middle of nowhere), and the small-downtown shopping of Fredericksburg and Comfort.
Cindy is a sweetheart and is very responsive, even though they live out of state. No one lives on the land, itself, as there is no house, etc., so you get it all to yourself.

Absolutely breathtaking sunrise!GramercyTucked away among the trees...Looking west; can see some of the valley. Once they improve the site more then I bet you’ll get an even better view!
