Danielle Sobel, a NYC native, relocated to Texas in 2014. After turning to plant-based food to heal her chronic health issues, Danielle started Austin based Juice Society an organic, cold-pressed juiced and wellness brand. With sustainability at Juice Society's core, Danielle strived to find ways to decrease the brands impact on the earth while increasing their impact on the community. Low and behold, a month after opening the JS flagship location, Flycatcher Farms was purchased. What started out as a space to grow the produce for Juice Society, has since evolved into what Flycatcher is today. Not only does the farm grow food but the doors have opened to become a place of community, a place to connect, a retreat from the daily hustle... a sanctuary, if you will. Flycatcher is now home to 4 pet goats, 8 chickens, 2 pot bellied pigs, and a very shy rescue donkey named Theo. Our 3500 sq foot greenhouse grows all of our organic vegetables and fruits through the sustainable method of aquaponics. We have an onsite yoga studio, a gazebo, teepee's, a pond, and two homes all intended to be shared with those seeking something more; more peace, more reflection, more connection.

Flycatcher Farms
Our stay at Flycatcher farms was spectacular! Our host Danielle was waiting to greet us and gave us a tour of the whole farm and generously offered us many amenities, including access to a complete bathroom, an air conditioned full kitchen, many delicious herbs and tomatoes from the greenhouse, and fresh eggs from the hens. The animals on the farm were the highlight for us; they were incredibly friendly and we found ourselves going back to their enclosure many times to give out more pets and head scratches. The farm has a stunning serene pond on the property that's surrounded by wonderful trees providing much welcome shade in the Texas sun, just perfect for putting up a hammock. It was great to have such a private secluded area all to ourselves to camp in and there was plenty to explore on the farm. We definitely hope to go back and visit Danielle's farm sometime in the future!
