Best camping hosts ever!
Bill and Kaz are the best hosts ever! They treat you as guests in their own home! Bill and Kaz made sure we had everything we needed, gave us a tour, and surprised us with homemade gourmet cookies and jelly. You can’t go wrong here. July and August are hot months of summer when there’s little to no water in the creek pond. I can’t wait to go back when there’s water to swim and play in.
Hosts Kaz & Bill were most hospitable. They greeted us with fresh batch of cookies then showed us to our camp site, The Cave Of Trees, I believe was the name... a grove of cedars which made for a good spot for us to hang our hammocks.
They took us for a drive around the property to view their improvements to-date as well as their plans moving forward.
Next time we'll make it a 2-night stay, as 1 is just too short.
Fun to explore; great hosts
Kaz and Bill were incredibly hospitable. They met us at the gate and invited us to do a drive-through tour of the property. It's heavily wooded and difficult to access in some parts but I know they're working on that so by the time one might be reading this that could already be done. There are so many great donkey paths all it'll take is opening them up to make them accessible. The camping site we used was perfect for us -- good access and very clean. Overall would recommend for a simple overnight place to camp and explore with kids.
Kaz and Bill’s land is so nice! The site we chose was just right for our family of 5. When we arrived there was a supply of wood and rocks provided for fire. If you prefer to cook on a grill then there is also one within walking distance.
Depending on the time of the year there is a chance you can swim on the property.
If not, there are several other places to swim within driving distance. We were really happy with our experience!
The only thing some may or may not be a fan of is hearing the cows throughout the night.
The rental house on the property is nice if tent camping isn’t an option.
She was a great host showed us around and was very friendly! The lake on the ranch was still a little dry but would be great for kids to swim in and family events but since it hasn’t rained very much so the water level on the ranch was low. but there was a nice swimming spot like 8 mins away from the ranch. And it was also free and the water was super fresh we just went to swim off the campsite since we wanted deeper water. And the lake (off the ranch) was super deep we couldn’t reach the bottom so take life jackets floaties and pool noodles if you plan on going there. there were also people kayaking there using boats and jet skis we really enjoyed our camping trip.
Very nice weekend get-away. Nice & quiet. Their property is large enough that we couldn’t see or hear any other campers. Though they had other spots for RVs or tent campers to be closer if they wanted. They are still carving out more spots further back on their place. Oh and Kaz makes great cookies btw.
This site was AMAZING! Kaz and Her husband were so wonderful. Welcomed us with delicious cookies and gave us a great tour of the ranch. Very beautiful spot! We picked our own campsite and didn’t see another camper the entire trip. Decided to explore all day Saturday and walked/hiked the whole property - ran into Kaz and they showed us some very cool parts of the ranch including a really amazing beehive. Perfect hosts and a perfect spot for camping! Plenty of firewood around and very secluded! We will definitely be back!
