El Cosmico takes its inspiration from a long American history of hippies, nomads, bohemians and those living a life of self-determination. We believe in tuning in, dropping out and being here now. Vehicles are not allowed onto the grounds, so if you are staying in your car or RV you will post up in our large parking lot with easy access to the grounds. Tent camping is dispersed, so you pick your space within the designated camping areas that are indicated on the property map provided at the front desk. Front desk hours are from 7:30am-11:00pm daily. If you are arriving after 11pm please call ahead for late check-in instructions.We provide the earth, you provide the shelter. BYO-Tent. Camping in your own tent or vehicle is $30 per night, per tent or vehicle for reservations checking in Sunday through Thursday and $50 per night for reservations checking in on Friday or Saturday nights (kids under 13 camp for free), and includes access to our communal spaces and bathhouses. Vehicles are not allowed onto the grounds, so if you are staying in your car or RV you will post up in our large parking lot with easy access to the grounds. Tent camping is dispersed, so you pick your space within the designated camping areas that are indicated on the property map. Maps are available at the front door of our main building. No need to check-in with the front desk, just grab a map and set-up.

Self Camping at El Cosmico

Depends…

Our experience staying there in our truck camper was different than those tent camping or glamping. The parking lot for motorized vehicles is right next to a fairly busy road, so it was loud. The nearest bathrooms to the parking lot were a good walk away. It wasn’t very busy the night we stayed, but if it had been busy the parking lot experience would not have been pleasant, with cars coming and going at all hours and a huge neon arrow blinking all night. Staff was nice. Convenient to town.

Self Camping at El Cosmico

The vibe here is totally! The only downfall about self camping was not being close to your car and hauling all the stuff to the campground. Other than that, we absolutely loved the property and all it had to offer! The bathroom was awesome, shared kitchen was easy and kids loved the hammocks! Definitely gonna come back and stay in a Teepee.

Good For RV’s - enjoy

I’ll admit it’s a little pricey for parking an RV in a gravel parking lot. But we wanted some place secure and not the typical RV park or pulling off at a rest area. But we enjoyed our stay, the people are friendly and the coffee is good. Eat at Angel’s for breakfast. A bit hit was the showers - while we have one in our motor home having unlimited hot water was great. The recent comment in a review about no privacy in shower is just silly. The walls are canvas and there is perhaps a 3/4 inch gap that someone could look through. But no one is peeking - I mean really? We would stay again.
