El Cosmico takes its inspiration from a long American history of hippies, nomads, bohemians and those living a life of self-determination. We believe in tuning in, dropping out and being here now. Vehicles are not allowed onto the grounds, so if you are staying in your car or RV you will post up in our large parking lot with easy access to the grounds. Tent camping is dispersed, so you pick your space within the designated camping areas that are indicated on the property map provided at the front desk. Front desk hours are from 7:30am-11:00pm daily. If you are arriving after 11pm please call ahead for late check-in instructions.We provide the earth, you provide the shelter. BYO-Tent. Camping in your own tent or vehicle is $30 per night, per tent or vehicle for reservations checking in Sunday through Thursday and $50 per night for reservations checking in on Friday or Saturday nights (kids under 13 camp for free), and includes access to our communal spaces and bathhouses. Vehicles are not allowed onto the grounds, so if you are staying in your car or RV you will post up in our large parking lot with easy access to the grounds. Tent camping is dispersed, so you pick your space within the designated camping areas that are indicated on the property map. Maps are available at the front door of our main building. No need to check-in with the front desk, just grab a map and set-up.

Self Camping at El Cosmico

The crew was very friendly and while the RV accomodations were not great, we loved the concept of what El Cosmico is trying to do and hanging out in the central building encourages people to meet and get together

Out of this world glamping

El Cosmico provided a lovely tent camping option for us in Marfa en route to see the solar eclipse. The host was friendly and welcoming, and all the amenities were clean and well-maintained. I loved the wonderful hot outdoor showers and Dr. Bronner's soap! It also has a delightful gift shop filled with beautiful things if you need a souvenir to take home.

This was my fourth year visiting Marfa and camping out at El Cosmico. Had a blast as always! The team are incredible Hipcamp Hosts and I'm already pining to return.

Hippest Camping in West Texas

Super easy. Friendly staff at check-in, lots of space for us. Yes, it’s just parking in their parking lot, but was perfect for a quick overnight. Loved walking the grounds, the aesthetic, and the outdoor shower.
