Pitch your tent under gnarled hill country live oaks on a 185 acre ranch about 8 miles from Fredericksburg. Some campsites are convenient and just off the paved road, and some are relatively remote on a rough pasture road. All offer great visibility of the night sky, but just minutes away from the center of Fredericksburg and about 12 miles from Enchanted Rock by the back roads. You are welcome to walk the pasture, but please don’t let any dogs (or kids) chase or harass the sheep. You are welcome to have a fire in the fire ring, just be careful. There is a bucket of water set out in case you would need water to douse a fire.

There is no river, lake or “surface water” of any type on this property.  For public access to that kind of amenity in this area you may want to check out Lady Bird Johnson Municipal Park in Fredericksburg, Lyndon B. Johnson State Park in Stonewall, Llano City Park in Llano, Cedar Point Recreation Area in Tow, Kerrville State Park in Kerrville or Schreiner City Park and South Llano River State Park in Junction.

You should be able to access the internet from this property using your cell phone. AT&T provides a 2-3 bar LTE signal here; HOWEVER, SPRINT, VERIZON and T-MOBILE provide very POOR OR NONEXISTENT SIGNALS at this property.

The grove we camped in was full of shade and the camp toilet they offered was nice and clean.
They also have a flock of sheep that roam the property and it was cool to hear them throughout the day wondering around and doing their thing.
