Among a sparcely developed portion of Lago Vista. Few homes around, and primitive setting give you the feeling of complete isolation. Yet close to amenities. Perfect just to unplug and enjoy a beautiful forest, creek, and sleep amongst nature. Terrain is fairly rocky so camping with hammocks or with sleeping pads is recommended.

Matt was great! He helped us park our car, showed us around, and answered all our questions. The site was nice and secluded while also being easy to find. It was georgous and fun to explore (the best part was the small waterfall). Overall the areas was cheap, clean, and comfortable, and I would 10/10 recommend this site :)
Great site, clean and well kept. Quiet at night with a great trickle sound from the creek. It was a bit hard to find from the directions, but once Matt pointed out the orange markings, we found pretty easy.
My best friend and our husbands stayed here for a night to celebrate my birthday. The site is absolutely serene and private! Best part is my dog Belle was allowed off leash (she's a great dog that never strays away from her humans so I hate when she has to be)
Happy campers, rain or shine
A great get-away spot. After securing your car at the trailhead you jump right on to the well-marked path leading you to a cozy clearing with a fire ring created by and maintained by each new visitor. The dogs enjoyed walking along the shallow gully's edge and investigating the area within eyesight through the trees. The site was clear of any obvious litter or human footprint other than the obviously cleared brush. Would highly recommend and definitively plan on making a return visit.
Guys camping weekend
This was really a neat setting. You may hear traffic and dogs barking since this is a neighborhood. We camped by the creek and the waterfall. Loved falling asleep to the sound of that. We were lucky enough to have it and it was very private.
What a wonderful campsite! Close to suburbia, yet feels worlds away. I couldn't have asked for a better birthday gift than my camping trip at Matt's. Thank you and I will be camping there again! The only drawback, and it's very minor, is it is a bit difficult to enter and exit as the climb is a little steep.
