The sites overlook the beautiful Canadian River breaks to the north with wide open skies to the west and east to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. These are rustic sites with no improvements. We are just getting started with this so you’ll be able to help us from the ground up. If we are not in a burn ban you’re welcome to have a campfire. There will be opportunities to call up a wild coyote or watch some mule deer or an occasional antelope stroll by. You could even be awakened by the horses on their way to water in the morning and we can set up some horse riding if we have enough notice to schedule time off from the 9-5 haha. Can’t wait to see you on the prairie! The sites overlook the beautiful Canadian River breaks to the north with wide open skies to the west and east to enjoy the sunrises and sunsets. Just Blew In
Tyler communicated with us very well. He even contacted us before we arrived saying that the weather was very windy and blowing a lot of dirt around. He stated that he would understand if we wanted to cancel our stay. We had driven through the high winds coming from Flagstaff on I-40 that day. We understood the conditions, our van could take the winds and we just needed a safe place to park for the evening. Tyler's directions were very good and we had no problems finding the place. He was spot on about Ted, the dog, that greeted and escorted us to our site. Great dog. The wind howled all night but we slept well. It was close enough to see the interstate in the distance but not hear it. Tyler even followed up with a message after our stay. We would recommend this stay to anyone.

Great spot, will return!
We loved van camping here, easy 5 min off the highway, close views of the windmills, super quiet and safe, responsive host. Will return!

Close enough that you can see I40 but far enough you cannot hear it. We were a little concerned that Ted, one of his pups, followed us all the way to our spot as we have reactive dogs but he lost interest, thankfully, and wandered back home. Tyler was responsive and easy to communicate with.

BLIZZARD
Unfortunately we did not make it to the campsite as we got stuck in a blizzard in New Mexico, however Taylor called to check on us to inform us of the weather conditions at his location. We will make time to visit once again in the near future.

I had a great night sleep here. Tyler was was a great host. Communication was great. Far enough from the highway so noise wasn’t an issue.
