Pitch your tent next to the pond, back in the wooded area, or out in the open. There's a few acres to primitivecamp on. It's a tiny little town where everybody knows each other. I'm located 1 mile South of downtown, so there are people within a quarter of a mile and a public road next to the property. Charming country town where everyone knows everyone. We have a gas station

I'm located 1 mile South of downtown, so there are people within a quarter of a mile and a public road next to the property. Charming country town where everyone knows everyone. We have a gas station that has a little grocery section and a great meat market, a liquor store, and there's a bar in town (The Deer Lease) about a mile away, an easy walk or bike ride. There's also BJ's pizza about 3/4 of a mile away, and New York Hill restaurant in Thurber 2 miles away. Lots of local history and sites to see. There are several lakes and rivers within a 30-40 minute drive. Possum Kingdom Lake, Lake Palo Pinto, Lake Leon, and the Brazos river. Tucker Lake is about 12 miles away down a back road and is great for swimming, fishing, and kayaking. It's part of the newest Texas State Park, Palo Pinto Mountains, which isn't officially open yet, but locals/hipcampers have access to the lake. There's also 3/4 of an acre downtown to camp on, but no water or electricity. There are hundreds of miles of back roads with little to no traffic for cycling.
