Green Gate Farms' River Farm is a certified organic flower and vegetable farm in an enchanting setting nestled along the banks of the Colorado River. When we outgrew our historic intown farm we searched all over Central Texas for the perfect spot -- and found it! Whether you are at the top of the farm in a forest of Texas Persimmons or up in our treehouse lulled to sleep by the sound of water over rocks, you can't help but relax. You're welcome to fish, paddle, bird, hike or help with the harvest!

    River Camping on Organic Farm
    This place is kept impeccable! It is so well kept, you need to experience it yourself! The entire campground is surrounded by trees and the ground is very comfy grass and its also located right next to a small river. Depending on the time of year so come, you might need bug spray because as you might know, mosquitoes and other bugs like hanging along the water. The campground is located about 30 minutes from Austin with some gas stations near by in case you might want a snack or something - the closest one would probably be 10 min away. I would totally recommend this location, it's very quiet and peaceful but it's far away from anyone where you don't have to be overly quiet. You've got to visit, it is a perfect getaway location or even if your driving by.
