I aplogize in advance for this long review but I must stress how awesome this place was! The view and landscape on the drive to the camp sight was just breathtaking. Lush green hills for days... Anywho Michael is an angel, met us as we drove in and helped us find our cottage. We stayed in Barnabas....all the cottages have names...i
I think they are all biblical too. This is a christian camp ground with a beautiful lookout of a huge lake, fishing, kayaking and hiking.
Personally I loved how my 5 month old baby was able to enjoy his first camp trip with all the nice amenities like a microwave, mini fridge with freezer, bathroom, shower, a/c, even the cottage itself...it was so comfortable for our baby. No complaints. Our cottage was not as renovated as cottage Ruth or Rachel. Those have a kitchenette and more upgraded decor and amenities. My cottage was native American themed and I loved it! Felt very cabin like. The shower felt amazing- hot water and all. My husband was able to cook on the grill we were able to reserve. We had plenty of fire wood that was given to us when added to the reservation, they even let us use their fishing rods. The space was clean, fresh, comfy, homey even. The staff and crew on the land were heaven sent and made us feel welcomed and safe. We stayed two nights and plan to come again and again. This is my first experience with HipCamp and I am indeed a happy camper.

It is truly a private oasis in the hill country. Michael and the park staff are helpful, but not intrusive. There are many things to do. Micheal was helpful in Identifying the things to do. The night skies are magnificent! We will return!

Michael was very welcoming when we arrived. We stayed in Cabin 2, which was Native American themed, and we loved it. We enjoyed using the kayaks and canoes Michael has on the property, as well as the basketball court. Overall we really enjoyed our stay and would recommend to anyone just wanting a private getaway for the weekend

Very nice clean comfortable room. Shower had plenty of hot water. We decided to go canoeing and I would say the boat ramp could use a little improvement, as we sunk in the mud.
