My 3rd time. I love it. I got to talk to cows. I think I might becoming fluent in bovine, because they stared at me like they were listening! 😝 It’s just a good peaceful get away. I brought my telescope this time because this first two times you could see every star in the sky away from city lights. I forgot my eye piece though. Another reason to go back. One thing I need to ask about though is balls of light. About 3:30 in the morning I saw something I couldn’t explain

This is a working farmland divided into three beautiful pastures with a wooded area and in the back. There are no designated sites but by driving around it becomes obvious where previous campers have selected their sites and built firepits. There is an abundance of firewood to be had from the fallen trees in the wooded areas, so bring a saw or a hatchet with you. I visited Briers during the week and apart from a very inquisitive heard of cows and young calves, I was the only camper. It was perfect peace and quiet and gave me and my dogs the chance to roam the property and enjoy it. There is a quant little cabin tucked away in the back woods that is carefully being restored by Gary. The weather was not the kindest, but regardless, it was an enjoyable couple of nights and certainly has made me determined to return in the near future for a longer stay when the leaves are on the trees and the pastures are growing. Gary was an excellent host and a pleasure to communicate with. He loves his land and enjoys being able to share nature with the community. We should be grateful that owners like Gary are prepared to give us these opportunities.

This is the second time I have camped there, but didn’t want to leave a review the first time because I enjoyed it soo much. I didn’t want to give up a secret, but this place is a needle in a haystack. It’s more fun exploring and picking where you want to camp versus assigned areas. I love the fact we can get as far as we want from anyone else out there and the light pollution is minimal. I took my telescope this past weekend and the view was amazing. Again, there is nothing out there, but that is what appeals to me. Totally off the grid. I would recommend this to any couples/families that really want to unplug from everything. I Plan on going back plenty of more times.
