We do have a bathhouse with a flush toilet up the hill, it is a bit of a hike, but, it is nothing a person in decent shape can’t manage. If you can't make the trek or have small children I suggest bringing your own potty for use at night.
If you like to fish, float, swim, or kayak you will love this spot!
We only allow 1 vehicle per site, so please if you have more than 1 car it needs to be parked up top. This is to cut down on wear and tear on our grass as well as courtesy to our cabin guests and other campers. Actually if you want to unpack then park up topside if you are going to be coming and going a lot that would be much appreciated!!
We do have hosts who live on the property. Lyn and I live in Corpus Christi and try to get up there every 4-6 weeks so sometimes we are around and we do love to meet our guests in person!

I booked with seriously short notice so the kids could get out into the fresh air and we are not disappointed! Water access and tons of shade. I felt like it was the primitive camping of an airbnb. Haha You can tell they put their heart into the details the hosts were so helpful and friendly. The hike up to the bathroom was a little inconvenient at times with the kids but I still want to go back.
Beautiful waterside camping
We had a fantastic time staying at Boulderdash! The campground was beautiful and well kept. We loved being right on the water. Lyn and Carol Anne were there and are awesome people. We also rented the canoe and went exploring down the river. It was a wonderful camping trip and I will be going back soon!
We had a good time with lots of space and direct river access. Loved that it was dog friendly. The campsites are right on the river which was good and bad.. lots of boat noise and loud music across the lake but the owners absolutely warned us of that in advance. We were there on 4th of July weekend so Texas campgrounds were probably all a bit rowdy. Campsites are nice and spacious but limited amenities. One picnic table for three sites was a bit tough for three families but as long as you bring your own gear or camp simple no big deal. River upstream was more peaceful especially at dawn and dusk so definitely do some paddling!
Nice site, bad neighbors
Really nice area, right on the river which is warm enough for swimming any time. A host was there to greet us and guide us to our campsite.
The weekend we stayed, across the river was somebody's reason to celebrate, and there was mexican karaoke until 3:30AM on friday, thank god it rained saturday or they would have stayed up all night then too. This wasn't from a
boombox, it was a professional setup with stadium lighting individually powered by gas generators and thousands of watts of sound amplification. Friday we were unable to sleep, let alone enjoy the outdoors. Saturday we only had to endure the music until 9PM, when it rained, which was a pleasant surprise.
I am sorry I have to leave this review for the host, whose fault it is not. It should be known, this is not a campground, you are camping on private land, the neighbors live there, they are not campers, they will enjoy their land, perhaps to your detriment.
Wonderful private getaway
This place is tucked away and incredibly private. As soon as we got there the sweet lady who runs the area with her husband ran out to give us a can of preserves she made 🥰! The Medina is gorgeous and we found a few nice cliffs and a waterfall while renting the canoe. Only fall back is the cliff up to the bathroom is a heck of a work out (I prob have a nicer back side now though haha). We camped in the tent area/ primitive bottom. Over all it was gorgeous and we would do it again!
