We had a great time in the open spaces the camp provided. We set up camp under a huge oak tree and had a fire pit provided. There was no scarcity of firewood as there are broken cedar branches all over the place. My daughter absolutely loved seeing the free roaming deer and cattle in the property. Did I mention that it’s about a 5 minute drive from Luckenbach, Texas?!

We were so close to Luckenbach we were able to drive down and catch the annual Easter egg hunt!Julia loved her camping experience! They have these very convenient outhouses spread out throughout the property!

It was the perfect location for the Lukenbach concert and tourist stuff in the area. RV and a generator brought the magic.

Amazing place to stay! Loved the location and atmosphere. Tons and tons of amazing trees, livestock(cows), wildlife(deer), sunrises/sunsets, fire pits and esthetic.
A little hard to find, but sort of part of the fun.

While I wasn’t expecting much for a primitive camping kind of place, the grounds we camped on had not been touched in some time apparently. Knee-high brush covered the entire area, making it difficult to find a relatively cleared place to camp.
For $40/night with no facilities, I can’t say I’ll be staying here again.
I should say there was a deer blind turned outhouse, but I chose to wait until the convenience store to do my business.

Response from Rozanna, the Host, on May 16th, 2020

Waited to go to the convenience store where thousands of other butts have sat? Hmm, ok you do you. Primitive camping as it’s said means we leave the area natural for deer and other wildlife and cows to graze (which are free-range), aside from a rock fire pit and other movable fire pits. If we charged any less, it simply wouldn’t be worth the extra traffic up our driveway to host campers. If nature isn’t your thing, please stay home and indoors. Probably best this guest agrees not to be back.

Do not expect a lot (you shouldn’t you’re camping) but it’s well worth it; plenty of trees for cover or hammock camping and it’s literally 2 minutes from Luchenbach, TX. Less than an hour drive to a hand full of beautiful small towns with wonderful meat markets and a minutes drive down the road to a fresh produce store, you won’t have to worry about any grocery shortages. Rain or shine these site are the absolute essence of hill country living. I’ll definitely be back.

Great little shady spot near the road, campsites are clean and private. Great location. It feels remote without actually being remote. Watch the weather carefully, though. The access trails can turn muddy with a decent rain, so be careful bringing your car in if it can't handle slippery conditions. (they do have a gravel parking area less than 500 feet from most sites.) Lots of cute eclectic "decor" to be seen around the various sites.
We had a lot of fun! Thank you!

Great little living room found under the big live oak. Catch it right after sunset for the twinkle lightsPainted skull found in one of the treesNice private grove, a small trailer easily fits.
