Great spot near big bend!
Perfect very affordable spot close to Big Bend if you need a spot to pitch a tent or car camp. We enjoyed getting to stay in the Chihuahuan Desert--the stars are beautiful here and driving around we saw a lot of wildlife! Chris was communicative and helpful. As like most of the area, you do need to drive on gravel roads for about 20 minutes to get here.
Loved it here!
My 12 yo son stayed here for Spring Break, and we greatly enjoyed it. Great scenery and stars.
Even after finding a backcountry permit in the national park, we decided to stay here away from the traffic and crowds.
Thanks so much
We loved staying out on Christopher's land! It was truly remote and we enjoyed the seclusion it offered. The views of the surrounding mountains were fantastic and we enjoyed a peaceful night with some of the best stargazing ever.
The host obviously takes pride in the space, because it was very clean and there was wood chopped and ready for the fire. Very nice spot.
My only warning for those who are looking for peace and quiet, and privacy. When we were there, unfortunately a fifth wheel was parked about 300 feet from the spot and ran his very loud generator most of the night. So if you're looking for seclusion and quiet. This may not be the spot for you.
It was a nice place to spend the night while traveling to Big Bend National Park. The host had wood for a fire and it was quiet. Star gazing was amazing there as it was away from any city lights.
