Relaxing RV spots in the woods
Campground was very quiet. It had rained a lot the day before we got there. Had some trouble backing into the pad. All gravel but very soft. Mosquitos were bad because of the rain. But it was quiet and very dark at night. Could use some mowing around the sites and a little more gravel. Did enjoy the peace and quiet.

Little get away
Benjamin was very hospitable, knowledgeable, accomodating answering all my questions when they arose. He even helped when my car battery died. He has big plans for this place. It was such a nice getaway from the city. I am looking forward to see the progress of this cozy getaway. Would recommend to friends and family and will definitely be back.

Best secluded camping in the area!
As an outdoorsman living in the city, this was the perfect getaway. It was secluded, quiet, and one of the best camping grounds you will find on any site. Had plenty of room to explore! Definitely would recommend this site to anyone.

Excellent treasure
We really enjoyed staying here. Lots of firewood for tent camping, bring a camp axe. They are currently working on an outhouse (amongst other amenities) but we really didn't need it, there were many private places. Very relaxing. The rooster wakes you in the morning, which brought back some fond memories. We set up camp close to the road, so WE could hear the occasional truck go by (our choice), but there are definitely other sites further back that are very secluded. He has 5 hookups and water on gravel sites for small to medium sized RV's, or tent camping. It was my first time taking my little girl, so it was just perfect: having the secluded feel but the comfort of being close to "skedaddle" out if needed. An added bonus: he has 4 kids. While I was setting up camp, my kid was exploring with them and getting into the free spirit. Camp area was very safe and the rules were clear/easy to follow. Hopefully, we left no trace and helped clear out a campsite for those after us. There is cedar, so come prepared if you visit during cedar fever season. We will definitely come here again and hope to stay longer. Was told there are some interesting festivals and attractions in the neighboring towns. I enjoyed relaxing by fire and checking out the stars.

Just what we were looking for
Enjoyed a wonderful stay at Squawk & Skedaddle for a weekend getaway. Great selection of sites to choose from and lovely drives to some nice hiking/bike trails near the area. Benjamin and his family were super friendly and have some great developments in the works. Highly recommend and would return! :)

Could be beautiful....
For the record, I don’t normally leave a less than favorable review. And at first i chose not to leave a review. The land is beautiful but there is a lot of work to be done. Our campsite had several pieces of trash. There was a big trash pile and junk area near the front. I am sure the trash pile will eventually be gone but I am not sure about the junk area.
We did hike around and the land is beautiful.
The trash was frustrating to me.
I searched for an RV site and booked it through HipCamp. After we were home, got an email asking for additional $ since we had a small travel trailer and one extra teenager. It wasn’t a lot of money but it was very frustrating after a very luke warm experience. The follow up asking for additional money is why I decided to post this review.
I’m hopeful it will be better in the future but we are not likely to return.
