RiverCamp (Tent Only)
Gorgeous location
Gorgeous camping on the shore of the Brazos River with a stunning view. Our family appreciated the camper toilets provided, as well as available ice and firewood. Staff was so outstanding and responsive!

RiverCamp (Tent Only)
Pretty group of tent sites by river
This is a beautiful location for a short break. It was a quiet spot on a river bend full of mature trees. Clean bathrooms (up some steps) and a friendly host. Every spot has a nice fire pit, picnic table, and great views. I will say, I thought the tent sites were rather close together - maybe 50-70 feet between our fire pit and the next two over (guessing here). But overall a great experience. The wood is a great deal, you get a ton.

RiverCamp (Tent Only)
What a cool little spot not too far outside of DFW. Super dog friendly, it rained a lot the few days leading up to our trip but the campsites were dry (loved that) bathroom facilities were well maintained (now shower as stated on their page) Spicket was at the main entrance to the campground and the tent campsites were a good mile or so away so I’d just suggest bringing your own water. Bought a wheel barrel full of wood, it’s cedar so burns relatively fast and is no good for cooking. Bring charcoal for their grills or your own means of food prep (I just used my propane burner) we rented kayaks (2 for $70 for 24 hours) but because the river was high and current was iffy they canceled the rentals and offered a refund or to exchange for more wood (we did the latter) some decent trails around the property. I had brought two of my own kayaks so we ended up kayaking across the river and hiking up to the top of the cliff (may have been private property so I’m not suggesting anyone do as we did) also drove down to the boat ramp and launched the kayaks there and floated back to our campsite and that was nice too

RiverCamp (Tent Only)
Wonderful experience. The campsite is lovely and has grass, not just gravel or dirt patch like some sites. The views are beautiful and everyone was very kind. Like the other reviews, note that you can see the other campsites but you don’t feel close together like some state parks. Didn’t bother us. We will definitely be back.

RiverCamp (Tent Only)
Ideal campsite.
Hosts were extremely helpful and friendly. The property was gorgeous with stunning views of the river. It felt much more remote than it actually was. Camp ground was flat and clean, very easy set up. Pretty much the ideal location. We purchased firewood from hosts, very high quality wood that smelled great, delivered to our site before we arrived. We will definitely be back.

RiverCamp "Glampsite" (RV/Tent)
Sleazy pop music until 3am
We camped at RiverCamp "Glampsite" at Bee Mountain Resort. Our host, Tony, gave us instructions that there is a "Music Curfew" at 11pm. Hipcamp has a similar policy. (See "Hipcamper Standards" and "Hipcamp Host Standards".) At midnight, our camp neighbors, who were about 100 feet away from us, were still playing music. I got out of our tent, walked over to them, and requested that they respect the "music curfew". At 2am and 3am, I texted our host requesting that they do something about the music. He responded to say that he could not come to the campsite at 2am. In the morning, our host came to our site to let us know that they would not be enforcing the "music curfew". We were miserable the first night, and we knew that we could not comfortably spend another night there, as they refused to honor either their own policies or the policies set by hipcamp. We broke down our camp and left. The host cannot control the bad behavior of their guests, but there were many acceptable ways of attempting to honor their own and Hipcamp's policies.
