Camping at its best
Overall it was a decent experience, like 3.5 stars. The location is perfect and super close to wineries and Lyndon B. Johnson state park as well as other things. This was the main reason why we booked here. It’s also easy to get to. It was advertised as 16 tent sites but when walking around, there were only 10 max that looked to be suitable. Not all of them were marked so it was hard to tell. The host’s sister mentioned that more were being added so maybe that’s why? She was helpful and friendly when we got there. We were the only people there which was good because the sites are very close to each other. Decent sites with regards to size and flatness for the most part. The site we chose was great but again, no one else was there. If someone had booked a nearby site they would be 30 feet away. After the unexpected rain storm, a few of the sites has large standing puddles the next day but that happens when camping. The negatives are that there is a lot of road noise/ outside noise. It definitely took away from the nature experience. Also, there were two men that walked/biked by our site a few times from the field behind. We understand people live on the property but it took us by surprise. With all that being said, the price was a bit high for what you get.
Overall, if you’re looking for a hipcamp close to the wineries, would 100% recommend but if looking for more of a secluded experience, I would not.

Nice large, well spaced tent sites in some woods and the host was excellent 😁

Horses & hospitality
We had an awesome opportunity to hook up our RV across from three beautiful horses. There are also some very pretty wooden sides as well. Angela‘s land has great proximity to Fredericksburg and sits on a pretty landscape. She was extremely responsive and more than hospitable from booking to arrival. One of our best HipCamp experiences.

Our 2nd time camping at Angela’s
This was our second time camping at Angela’s land. She was great as always. This time we were in the Fredericksburg area for some wine tasting, a Polo match and to explore the caves in Enchanted Rock.
This beautiful little camp site is just literally minutes from everything. We liked camping at Angela’s so much we stayed 2 extra days.
I highly recommend y’all staying out there.
Can’t wait for my 3rd time to camp there.
