The campsite itself is level desert pavement overlooking a draw to the west. Tent and RV sites are marked by railroad ties and rock boundaries. We try to leave as little trace as possible so please camp in the designated areas. Rock fire rings are present for your convenience.
Terlingua Ranch is private land so please be respectful as you drive through this amazing area.
HIking, climbing, horseback riding, rafting, canoeing, even a zip-line and golf course are all available in the area.

Easy to book, and John provided very clear and specific directions (much needed driving at night through the desert). Top-notch scenery and stargazing.
Amazing spot. Truly in the middle of nowhere and definitely follow the directions the host texts you vs the ones on the site. Stars were amazing and we found a ton of fossils on a walk down the road in the morning.
John was an AMAZING host. This place was remote and a bit hard to find. It would be easy in the day time. John is friendly and charismatic and all around a nice guy. The site is in a rough spot have gas and a working car.
