Come to Aat the Ranch where every October the Monarch buttery migration crosses over the ranch.  Post Oak Springs becomes a living butterfly sanctuary just for a few days over their migration south.  Any time of year absorb the peace and serenity, disconnect and reconnect. The Monarch Crossing Cabin is situated up on the old basketball court.  The front porch of the cabin faces out into the vast, clear, rolling hills of our blessed Texas hill country, views for a 100 miles.  The cabin is within walking distance to the main home.  NO ELECTRIC Yes water.  Cabin is 14 feet by 34 feet.  Full bed, sofa and coffee table.  Toilet and sink.  Outdoor hot shower.  Kitchen with water only.  Nice place for those not wanting to camp but feel the outdoor affect.  Take a walk up into the 30 acres or over to the community firer pit area.  Enjoy a fire, fallen mesquite my be used from the ranch.  As evening brings majestic sunsets the wildlife begin the nightly symphony.  Bats have fun flying as the sun sets. When the sun comes up take a walk, or ride if you have brought your bikes or horses.  Drive up to the Llano river just 5 miles north.  The general store is a must stop in, tell Jennifer howdy.

Great for camping backup

has mixed feelings towards this listing.

The fam and I planned on going camping. So booking here and having the shower, toilet, and cabin for backup was the plan. It served as that. The basketball goal and area provided ample enjoyment for the kids. Storms ended our tent camping and the cabin was a great backup. I wouldn’t recommend staying in the cabin as primary unless you enjoy motel 6’s. It was pretty dirty and junk was thrown in most places. The sink leaked, the knob was broken, etc. overall, cabin as backup - I recommend! Cabin as primary - ehh. I suppose it’s okay for the money. Happy with our stay!
