Enjoy this private and secluded desert mountain experience, with only one campsite, nestled in a quiet valley, hosted by recognized Super Hosts. You'll be able to view mountains and valleys with diverse and ever-changing geography, wildlife (deer, javelina, fox, numerous birds, an occasional bear or wild cat, etc.) and the most amazing 360 degree view of skies and stars with no obstructions. The camping site provides a level camp pad, privy (currently under construction - with portable camp toilet and hooks for solar shower bags), picnic table, campfire ring, wood/charcoal bar-b-que grill, non-potable and trash disposal on site. Campers may enjoy many hiking options on the immediate property and other trails within 1 mile of the campsite. Campers may bring their own mountain bikes or UTV's/ATV's and enjoy riding along miles of dirt road starting from your own front (tent) door and/or make reservations with the Hosts for any of the customized local excursions on their 6-seater ATV. In addition, campers may enjoy hiking in the nearby National and State Parks. And for your convenience, there is a bath house, swimming pool, local café, office (bagged ice and potable water available) and laundrymat located one mile away. Other area attractions include but are not limited to: the Big Bend National Park (be sure and visit the Dinosaur exhibit, Santa Elena Canyon, the Boquillas Overlook, the Hot Springs, Chisos Basin and the many other attractions available) and the Big Bend Ranch State Park, the Rio Grande River (with water rafting available), the Terlingua Ghost Town, Lajitas Golf Course and Resort (restaurants and spa available), a spectacular "River Road" drive along the Rio Grande River (listed as one of the top 10 scenic drives in America), and more. If desired, the Hosts Mark & Michelle, will be at your disposal for socializing, ideas, suggestions and/or assistance.
