5D Ranch is an owner operated ranch that has opened its doors to the public. We have a quiet place to pitch a tent under the trees with sandy soil or stay in an RV or even truck camper.   The descriptions of the sites are at the bottom of the page.

Are you looking for some fun country activities? The ranch is a great place to bring the whole family. Come enjoy a day of swimming or fishing  in one of two water spots. Our pond and lake are both  stocked with bass and perch (catch and release only).   Or, if you're not into water, we also have beautiful, well marked, maintained trails for those of you that would rather go hiking. There are 400 acres with 14 miles of marked trails. Our trails are designed to go in any direction so you can go for as short or as long as you like, all without being more than 2 miles away from the check in area. We have tables and fire rings at all our campsites. With 19 campsites we have the perfect site to fit your needs and wants from totally secluded to having a neighbor that's not right on top of you. We have wanted campers to enjoy the country without be jammed up together. All of our sites are very spacious.  We also have a restroom and shower available and are in the process of installing solar panels in order to have lights and a hot water heater for  the shower.  Check out the site descriptions below to get an idea of all the different types of sites we have. I am sure we will  have the perfect site that will meet all your needs.

All site are accessible with your vehicle. You can drive up in each site easily.

Site 1 is a grassy area under a big oak tree next to the woods. Quiet spot with a great view of the sky and sunset. This site can easily accommodate an RV of any size. It has a fire ring ,2 large and 2 small table/ spools. Short walk to the restroom.

Site 2 is nestled up against the woods. You'll have woods on 3 sides of your campsite. You will also have a great view of the sky. This site can accommodate a very small camping RV. You'll need to be able to back in or out of the site. It has a fire ring, 1 large and 2 small table/ spools. Short walk to the restroom.

Site 3 will make you feel deep in the woods. Totally surrounded by trees. Google maps cant even see you . You will definitely get that long way from the world feeling here and still just a short walk to the restroom. This site will NOT accommodate any RV. While the site is very roomy. Driving to the site with an RV will not be a good idea. This site will also accommodate a large group however only 3 cars are allowed to park at site. All other cars will have to park about 40 yards away.   This site has a fire ring, a  fire pit and  1 large and 2 small table/spools.

We had a lovely stay camping at 5D Ranch! The hosts were incredibly friendly, and we had a great time exploring the trails and watching the campfire at night. The hosts were always available and willing to help out. Our campsite felt like it was nestled in the trees, would definitely recommend 😊

We had a blast staying at the ranch. Campsite was perfect, stargazing was a blast, enjoyed the cold shower after a day of hiking and swimming, caught a few fish in the stocked pond, and got to hang out with Quigley (the ranch dog). 100% will be visiting again and definitely recommend it to anyone looking for a place to camp.

What a fantastic experience. Site three was very private and nestled in the woods. It was private but also a short walk to water, restrooms, and the bath. The property and trails are extensive and a lot of fun for a leisurely stroll. The stocked fishing spots are a great addition. Now, the hosts were unreal! Met us and guided us back, left some water for the campsite, and we even were able to glance at their pony. We really did have a relaxing weekend here and would highly recommend this spot if you like primitive camping, hiking, and fishing.

Many thanks to Julie for sharing her family's land with us! We stayed at the forest site and it was a great little spot. VERY Texas: wide open hay fields, sprawling oaks, and a sweet pond to soak in.
The site matched my expectations: it's nothing glamorous, but it's a great way to get outside.
Totally functional little camp bathroom, complete with shower -- it's a great way to rough it without it being too rough. The site was totally private and we barely had to interact with anyone while we were there.
It was super easy to get to from Houston, making a country getaway very feasible.
We did go in the middle of August and it was VERY HOT - just something to consider for future planning.

Bathroom electricity was off. Only 1 shower and one toilet for whole camp. Julie said it was getting worked on. No security really but we were allowed to put our horses in arena for night time. Very clean camp.

We absolutely loved 5D Ranch and Julie was an amazing host. Site #2 was perfect for us to back in our 24 foot Black Series HQ17 Caravan with plenty of space to relax by the fire pit. From the nice breeze at our campsite, to the beautiful land and water. We can't wait to head back in the Fall with more of our family and friends.
