West-of-Creek Dispersed Campsite
The grounds were beautiful and all the spots were spaced out enough that no group of guests was interfering with the others. The port-a-john on the property could use a little more attention, though.
Original Tent Campsite #7
Good not great
1. Some consideration of guests in the AM. The farmhand started graveling the roads between 7am-8am each morning. Between the tractor noise and the wind spraying dust on us at 30-40 mph each morning, our hopes of a quiet and relaxing morning sunrise where a no go.
2. Would be helpful to know how windy it is on property and which campsites are more protected from the wind.

Original Tent Campsite #13
Unexpected hill country
Holy Cow! What a great hidden gem North of Dallas. 13 was like a small out cove off the pathway to other sites. Big enough for a 4 person tent with 2 adults and 2 large dogs. Do yourself a favor and head up to the tasting room for the friendly staff, the amazing views, and great wines. We will totally be back. Just make sure you read the camping PDF they have on the website before you go for extra information.

pretty spot; can't avoid the muzak
The setting was lovely and the hosts clearly care a lot about their property. We stayed in Site #7, which was somewhat secluded and felt less exposed than several of the other sites we saw. It was clean and we had a nice level spot for our tent. Next time I would bring a table and wish my kids were old enough to enjoy the mountain bike trail.
Unfortunately, this is a popular site and sites aren't super far apart. Several folks came with their loudspeakers and played music. This is a major pet peeve of mine when camping, and we were forced to listen to mariachi music simultaneously with pop music, which is a terrible combination for the soul and the brain. If you're hoping for nice, quiet nature sounds, this place might not be it. The good part was that the folks who can't live without their music during the day were at least respectful of nighttime quiet hours, so we didn't have to hear the music all night. We didn't take advantage of the winery...maybe we should have! Maybe if we'd had enough wine, that would've made the music less of an effrontery! Overall, if music doesn't bother you, this is a great spot.

RV SITE #2
We’ll be back!!
I’ve camped in a lot of places, and I have to say that 4R has become my absolute favorite! Beautiful trails, the views are unbeatable(in north Texas,) and the hospitality at the winery was top notch!!
