Love lives here. đâŽď¸âđž Travel back to the era of disco and shag with a stay in the Tennessee Time Machine. This immaculately kept vintage motorhome comes complete with 1970s magazines, 8-tracks, and board games to keep you entertained in the style of a simpler time. A peaceful solo retreat, a romantic destination for 2, or bring the kids. Our remote location is the perfect getaway close to home where you can enjoy a walk in the woods during the day, a campfire at night, and forget where, and when, you are.
The Time Machine is original vintage and many things are irreplaceable. If you might not be comfortable asking how to get something to work or have a tendency to be a little rough with things, this might not be the venue for you. Accidents happen and we haven't had a guest yet who would not be welcome back, but a disclaimer certainly doesn't hurt!
This 1978 Blue Bird Wanderlodge includes all of the amenities you might expect with a small apartment or tiny home. The bedroom has a full-size bed with blackout curtains, a small pop-up vanity, and lots of storage. The kitchen has a refrigerator/freezer, 4-burner range, oven, microwave/convection oven, in-counter blender, and dinette seating for 4. There are 2 large couches in the living area that can be converted into single beds. The bathroom has a standard-size toilet and a shower. (Be aware, the shower stall is 1978 small and is perfect for me at 5'2, but my 6' tall husband can still use it by holding the showerhead.) We are not hooked up to septic and have to empty the tanks by hand. So we ask that you be considerate in your water usage, especially in the shower. There is heating and A/C throughout and WiFi.
We live on 18 acres in a rural area. The nearest gas station is about 15 minutes away and the closest grocery store is about 25 minutes away, so you might want to come with whatever supplies you need for your stay. We are 20 minutes from I24, 25 minutes to Woodbury, 30 minutes to Murfreesboro, 35 minutes to Bonnaroo, and 1 hour to Nashville. Right here in our hollow, we are 4 minutes away from the International Medical Quigong College.
Please be aware that there are some neighbors back in our hollow that hunt and/or target shoot, and it can sometimes be heard clearly from where we live. We have not yet heard it while hosting guests, but it is a possibility. If it is happening when we expect an arrival, we will contact you in advance to let you know.
A travel crib is available if needed.
