Beyond any expectation we could have even dreamed! One of THE coolest place we've ever been able to step foot into. This place is one of a kind. And to make things even better - you are at the base of the Smoky Mountains. A 15 minute ride into the entrance of the Smokies! Bob, was super friendly upon our arrival. He built this 4 story silo in a year and half - WOW! Local art is throughout the silo to purchase too. We will be back!
The silo was the cutest place I've ever stayed! Definitely recommended and would go back in a heartbeat. One of the nights it got pretty cold at night (it was November after all, so not unexpected) and it was pretty chilly in the morning, but nothing unbearable, just something to be aware of. Otherwise it was totally comfortable! Really love the style Bob has going with it!
The most magical place!
The Silo exceeded all expectations! It was gorgeous, well kept, cozy, unique and overall magical! We wished we could stay more nights. I saw fireflies for the first time looking out the window and was brought straight to tears. We loved every second.
Private, rustic, cozy, & creative
If you're traveling along the west side of Great Smoky Mountain National Park or if, like us, you've just come out from a long backcountry stint and you're looking for a place to recharge -- look no further! The Silo was luxurious, clean, charming, with dreamlike serenity. I'll probably never see another place like it.
A little slice of heaven
The Silo at Little River Barn is AMAZING! My boyfriend and I will definitely be back. We enjoyed the afternoons reading and sipping bourbon on the top level listening to the rain. The bed was extremely comfortable. As an Airbnb host, I give it a definite thumbs up. Extremely romantic setting. Loved it!
Stunning, one-of-a-kind property
The pictures don't (and can't) do this place justice. Bob's vision for the property was extraordinary and was matched by his meticulous execution. My kids and I were passing through the area and I was looking for a different and fun place to stay instead of a traditional hotel. This listing perfectly fit the bill. I had no idea, however, how incredible the Silo actually was until seeing it in person. The attention to every detail is amazing. From re-purposing old wood from the adjoining barn, elegant lighting, working air conditioning, a surprisingly comfortable bed, and a coffee station, to the beautiful craftsmanship throughout. This is probably the coolest place I've ever stayed and I certainly hope to return for a longer stay.
