Beyond a campground, The Silo is a unique experience. It boasts the only known curved Jefferson staircase in the area handcrafted by the owner. Four floors lead to a sleeping area that has a 360 degree view with windows that open to the tree tops. Wake up to birds chirping and the smell of mountain air. Even though there are four floors there is a dumb waiter to lift your belongings to the top. There is an indoor and outdoor shower and a modest kitchen area. Who wants to cook when there is so much to do here! The Silo is very convenient to the Great Smoky Mountains and to a Knoxville ball game. If you choose to bicycle, the road is open to Cades Cove and horse stables. For motorcyclist, the "Tail of the Dragon" is only 20 minutes by way of the Foothills Parkway. Rivers and lakes and hiking trails galore. Come stay with us.

Beyond any expectation we could have even dreamed! One of THE coolest place we've ever been able to step foot into. This place is one of a kind. And to make things even better - you are at the base of the Smoky Mountains. A 15 minute ride into the entrance of the Smokies! Bob, was super friendly upon our arrival. He built this 4 story silo in a year and half - WOW! Local art is throughout the silo to purchase too. We will be back!
