This 70-acre farm is all that remains of an original land grant made to the Collier Family in the late 1700's. In 1989, the last generation of the Collier Family had no heirs, and the farm was sold to the current owners, Barry and Pam Robertson. A family cemetery exists with graves back to 1820.

Good exp. all things considered.
So first of all it was extremely wet due to soo much rain for the last two weeks so any hint of a negative can be squarely placed on that. I would still reccomend this property if you're looking for a good camping experience that's still close to civilization. The host Barry sent me a text giving me a heads up that ground was soft and wet. I arrived at the business location per his directions and advised an employee what Barry had stated and where he suggested I set up. The employee was very helpful and gave me directions of where to go and I found the site very easily. The site was fairly private considering the bush line was starting to fill in as temperatures begin to warm. There were three houses in view from my campsite but if the ground wasn't so soft I would have been able to set up further down the hill and out of site from the houses. A drone was flying over head briefly and I could see the pilot from my campsite but I figured that was possibly just a curious neighbor or perhaps even the host taking some pictures of my motorcycle camping setup? The host was kind enough to set up several large brush piles so when it dries out in a few weeks I'm sure someone will have one heck of a bonfire back there. The property was really pretty and have lots of wildlife yet close enough to town to enjoy doing different things and having easy access to restaurants and stores. That being said if there is a lot of rain prior to your trip do not attempt to go down the hill near the cemetery and if you do....do not stop! I was trying to get my bearings on the property and actually got stuck at the bottom of the hill! However being of strong constitution I unloaded my motorcycle and carried all my stuff up the hill, tipped my motorcycle over and literally dragged it by hand over about 10 feet to slightly higher and drier ground where traction would be easier to get. I dropped my tire pressure to get more traction and made my way out without needing to call a tow truck but not without leaving my mark. Barry, I am sorry for the line of mud I kicked up getting up the hill, but I weighed my options and figured getting out of there on my own would have been better and less damaging than having a extremely large tow truck come back and make things even worse. I have ordered a rope and pulley system to carry with me all the time that designed to get motorcycles out of these bad situations without leaving a mark as a result of this experience.

Barry’s property was lovely with rolling, grassy hills, large shade trees, and a small lake nearby. We were worried about the rain forecast and asked to camp uphill due to fear of getting bogged down. Barry was very accommodating and let us stay closer to the road. This property is great for tents and small trailers but perhaps not easy for large campers to traverse, Easy access to Interstate and super hosts who are easy to work with!

Rainy weather changed our plans and we knew we’d be arriving a day earlier than we had booked, so we called Barry and asked if we could stay Sunday night instead of Monday. He was very accommodating and had no problem with that. We found the area easily with the directions given but did not see any signs, so we called to verify were were in right place. We enjoyed a beautiful sunset and had the entire camp area to ourselves. Barry even brought us some dry firewood! If we come through this area again we will definitely book another night here.

Super simple and quiet. Camping options in meadows or the woods. Beautiful fall wildflowers and a gorgeous sunset. This was an easy to access campsite and the owner, Barry, was super helpful. A great way to escape from the busyness of Knoxville.
