A quiet, safe pause in the middle of a long drive! I felt safe in the middle of Memphis and at the same time camped in a beautiful spot!
A hidden gem! The yard and camping area is lovely and pretty quiet. Arriving at night, it was a bit difficult to find the hidden driveway to the property, and we struggled with the padlock for fifteen minutes. However, the next morning, we were pleasantly surprised by the beautiful garden and huge trees. We opted to camp near the parking area, rather than bring our tent and gear across the yard to the lovely, wooded camping area. The set up is beautiful. We were able to use a water spigot, across the lawn, for fresh drinking water.
Great place, closer to the city than you’d expect. Wonderful spot to stay. Clean facilities and lots of trees.
sarah’s place was the perfect stop on a cross country adventure! she was extremely hospitable, providing free firewood and a fire pit. communication with her was a breeze and we felt nothing short of safe staying overnight on her property. also, the garden full of beautiful sunflowers, chrysanthemums, hummingbirds, and song birds was very pleasant to wake up to. highly recommend!
Nice property but noise roads
The site was fine and the flowers every where were beautiful! We arrived late and could not see far enough into the field to see a blue tent where we were told to set up camp. So we set up camp next to the parking space and they didn't seem to mind! The bathroom is a little walk away from where we were camped and it isnt an especially clean Porta potty but it's a place to sit and use the bathroom. The only real issue we had was the noise around the property. We didn't realize we would be surrounded by so many major roads and there were people speeding and drag racing all night, that kept us awake a bit. We also had a little trouble opening the gate lock when we got there but eventually we got it opened and didn't have an issue in the morning. They brought us cold water when we got there and that was just lovely! So thank you!
What a lovely place! I was on my way across country so I opted to set up near the parking area to keep things simple, but it would have been very easy to tote our stuff over to the designated camping area if we had wanted to. The whole property is beautiful so you can't go wrong regardless. My dog really appreciated being able to run around off leash after all those days in the car. As noted (and Sarah reminded us once more) it's not completely fenced in, but you'd never know if you didn't really go looking. The port o potty was super clean and lit, which was definitely appreciated for bathroom trips after dark. I would love to come back for more of a weekend stay.
Lovely big grassy field perfect for pitching a tent, playing some soccer and letting the pup run around. It was very peaceful and we enjoyed the fire pit!
