Clearview Farms is a place with a lot of opportunity. Marie is from Manchester England, and moved over to the US 12 years ago to build a horse farm and pursue her dreams in the world of horse shows. Maries land is in the early stages of being accommodating to camping, but there is land to camp on. I set up my tent right next to the pond and enjoyed a nice fire during sunset. My favorite aspect was definitely the horses, and seeing all of the work that goes into running a horse farm. If you're looking for a night away, Clearview just might be for you.
We loved our stay! The host was friendly and accommodating. We pretty much had our choice of anywhere on the property. Found ourselves a nice quiet corner of a hay field , set up camp and and enjoyed watching the comings and going’s of a working horse farm. We had a sliver of a moon and no city light so the stars were fantastic! Would highly recommend for anyone looking for a quiet time in the country.
This is a beautiful property. The host, Marie Lloyd, greeted us upon arrival and was very nice. She showed us possible sites and a quick drive around to point out amenities. You're welcome to walk the stable, which is also where the shower and restrooms were. There was also a lounge all guests were welcomed to relax in with television, etc, although we didn't partake. There is also a pond in the center that was very picturesque and you are welcomed to fish as well. However, if you are looking for a traditional camping experience, one with uninterrupted views of nature and seclusion, I wouldn't recommend camping here. I would recommend if you are looking for a unique camping experience though! Especially if you have a love or interest in horses.
Unique, fun getaway!
Clearview Farms was our first HipCamp experience and it didn't disappoint! Marie was an amazing host. Telling us everything we needed to know and there to answer questions but also didn't impose on our family time. This was such a unique, fun camping experience. We weren't sure what to expect but it was great. There was one other family there and we both had plenty of space and it was nice to have some company! The property was perfect for exposing our sons to a working horse farm. I was able to run some of the property which was really nice that it had some mowed paths around the large property. Our boys fished (only downfall was they kept catching algae). We truly loved this experience and highly recommend those who love horses or are looking for some unique camping!
